CLINTON INTERNALS SHOW 11-POINT LEAD IN PA
Mon Apr 21 2008 11:10:14 ET

**Exclusive**

Controlled excitement is building inside of Clinton's inner circle as closely guarded internal polling shows the former first lady with an 11-point lead in Pennsylvania!

Clinton is polling near to nearly 2 to 1 over Obama in many regions of the state, a top insider explained to the DRUDGE REPORT.

A strong coalition of middle-class and religious voters has all but secured a Clinton victory Tuesday, with headline-making margins, the campaign believes.

"It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of how much," a senior campaign source said Monday morning.

When pressed if the dramatic internal polling numbers could somehow be flawed in a state as demographically complex as Pennsylvania, and with new voter registration surging to unseen levels, the campaign insider held firm.

"Senator Obama would be wise not to unpack his bags quite yet."

MORE

With less than 24 hours to go until the beginning of the end of primary season voting, Obama has handedly captured Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, but has failed to dominate suburban sprawl, the campaign's polling reveals.

An 11-point victory in Pennsylvania for Clinton would expand on margins scored in Ohio.

Clinton will quickly move to feverishly focus on Indiana starting Tuesday night, hoping to somehow convince superdelegates that she not only has superior stamina but has crucial swing state appeal.

Without superdelegate intervention, Clinton still faces impossible math to nomination.

If Klinton wins the PA primary it just means we will have to refill the popcorn bowl. I love watching these two tear each other’s flesh off the bone and the more they do it, the more they fragment the demonrat party and the weaker it makes them.

As Col. Hannibal Smith from the A Team always used to say....”I love it when a plan comes together”

Breaking News: Poll shows Clinton maintains lead 8:33 a.m.
By BORYS KRAWCZENIUK / STAFF WRITER

For the third week in a row, a Quinnipiac University poll shows New York Sen. Hillary Clinton with a solid lead in Pennsylvania over Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

In a poll of 1,027 likely Democratic voters conducted Friday through Sunday, Mrs. Clinton led Mr. Obama by a 51 percent to 44 percent margin, up a point from 50-44 last week.

White voters back Mrs. Clinton 57 percent to 38 percent, while blacks back Mr. Obama 84 to 10 percent, the Quinnipiac poll found.

Women back Mrs. Clinton 57 percent to 38 percent, while men are for Mr. Obama 53 percent to 42 percent; white Catholics are for Mrs. Clinton 66 percent to 29 percent; voters under 45 go with Mr. Obama 57 percent to 41 percent, while older voters back Mrs. Clinton 54 percent to 40 percent.

She’s not going to win PA by 5 or 6.

More like 12 or 14.

Many Pennsylvania Democrats, I believe, were looking for an excuse to vote against the black candidate with the Arabic/Muslim name.

Foolishly, he gave them an excuse to vote against him that had nothing to do with race or religion, and now they have “cover,” a kind of salve for their own consciences.

If she does win by 55-45 or more I wonder if this will give some Dems pause because they think it will mean trouble with Obama on top of the ticket in Nov. It will be difficult for them to take the presidency without PA.

A couple of days ago they were discussing the Witch’s performance in PA vs. Ohio. They said her PA peformance is closely paralleling her Ohio performance, with her starting out a week before the elction with about a 5 point lead in the polls, then coming on strong and winning with about a ten point margin. They also said the demographics of the two states were quite similar, meaning she has a good chance of pulling out a ten point, or slightly more, win in PA.

If she does it, the popcorn stocks are going to boom.

It does sound possible if the ‘undecided’ losers go 2-1 for the Beast of Shrillary which in all likelihood they will.

I think though it will be in the 7-9 point range in the end. 11 points would be on the high side.

And this clearly has been leaked by the Shrill One to Drudge. He’s running with it which is what they want of course. The bandwagon effect is now in play.

OPERATION CHAOS! Yeah, Rush!

This will certainly keep her in the race, and it will almost certainly keep the remaining superdelegates on the fence. If she wins by +5% tomorrow, in PA, then you can guarantee it's going to be a long ride to the convention...and what happens at the convention will make 1968 look like a school yard fracas.

This is almost too good to be true.

"Some liberal commentators have downplayed the effect of Barack Obama's recent fundraising speech in San Francisco. But that's wishful thinking. Along with the revelations about Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright, his remarks in San Francisco will haunt him not only in the upcoming primaries in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia, but also in the general election against John McCain, assuming he gets the Democratic nomination."

"To win in November, a Democratic presidential candidate has to carry most of the industrial heartland states that stretch from Pennsylvania to Missouri. That becomes even more imperative if a Democrat can't carry Florida -- and because of his relative weakness in South Florida, Obama is unlikely to do so against McCain. Ruy Teixeira and I have calculated that in the heartland states, a Democratic presidential candidate has to win 45 to 48 percent of the white working-class vote. In some states, like West Virginia and Kentucky, the percentage is well over a majority."

You can't win a general election with a coalition of America hating Bitter African- Americans and America hating Bitter white liberal elitist billionaires/millionaires, who buy brie, Chardonnay, and expensive rat politicians like the elitist Hussein Obama/Samma.

"Bitter Gate: the gift that keeps on giving!!!

" Crackerquiddick ~ Bitter Gate " and “Wright is wrong Gate” are huge problems for the elitist would be Sneerer in Chief, Hussein Obamasnob!!

For an inside look at the real Hussein Obama and his elite hate America backers at San Francisco where Hussein Obama made his elitist remarks,

Go here to see the thread with all The Pictures posted and Here to see another thread about this meeting of elite left wing America haters.

There are some very interesting pictures and comments re the actual meeting on those threads.

"Hussein Obama’s big mouth, small brain, condescending, America-hating, grandkid-baby-terminating, born-alive-infant-abandoning, America-hating-wife, kooky-moonbat-America-hating-pastor, racially-divisive, race-baiting, crotch-saluting, America-flag-disrespecting ... chickens ... coming home to roost ...!"

“I wonder if that’s just an attempt to booste morale. Doesn’t matter. Win or lose she’ll NEVER drop out. Her big play will be behind closed doors at the convention, out of sight of the press and delegates.”

The Beast is like any candidate. If the rumors are true of the money drying up, then even a relatively close win does nothing to convince her backers to open their wallets again. Technically she needs 65% of the remaining delegates in the states yet to vote. Not likely to happen in PA or anywhere else for that matter.

If PA is not double digits the money will quickly dry up and she will stay for maybe a few more weeks to try to soak up the losers who keep opening their wallets so she doesn’t get stuck with a bill.

You will know this is the case by the lack of shrillness in her campaigning. Now if there is another bomb that lands on Obama, then you’ll know she has released info to key press people and has gone nuclear.

Either way, the Shrill Beast’s time is neigh.

We’ve gotten calls from both the Obama and Clinton campaigns about who we’re going to vote for. I, of course, will vote for neither because I’m a Republican. The calls are really for my husband who is a Democrat, but I’ve answered the phone. The Clinton camp didn’t ask if I was a democrat. They just asked if they could count on my support April 22. I said no. Emphatically. The Obama camp at least asked if I was Mr. Twigs. I said no and they asked me if I knew who he was going to vote for. I said he was going to vote for Hillary which is true. A lot depends on talking to the right person and how the question is asked and followed up.

Osama really stepped on his crank with his “bitter small town America” comments and it will haunt him all the way to the convention. In some ways I hope Klinton gets the nod, because she is eminently more beatable than Osama. She will galvanize the GOP more than Osama ever would. Any disparaging comments made against Osama will be touted by blacks as nothing but racism, while he is free to say whatever he wants. There is no need to tip toe around Klinton when it comes to exposing her.

Given the rediculous spending that Fauxbama has done here in PA vs HillBilly, even a 5 point win by HillBilly should make any Democrat recognize that Fauxbama has no chance of winning a general.

I think its a double digit win for HillBIlly... Fauxbama’s comments were beyond stupid and he couldn’t get closer than 5 points to HillBilly before he made them... That comment will cost him easily 5+ more points.

“How much of a ‘bump’ is the media giving her?”

Quite a bit. If she wins PA 60% to 40% (20 point spread) it would give her a net gain of 32 delegates.

A win with a 15 point spread would gain her 22 or 23 delegates. A more likely 10 point victory would net her a whopping 13 delegate gain.

She needs 100 to 150 to just catch up to Obama.

Am I missing something? The media is just hyping this to make it sound exciting.

Well I disagree, I think HillBilly is the more competetive Democrat in the general.. she’s got the machine and organization. Fauxbama has no chance in a general.. he shouldn’t have survived the vetting to be in the primary race more than a few weeks, but the press refusing to truly question a black man, and HillBilly running a poor campaign have left him in this thing as long as they have.

I don’t think either of them can win a general, but I think HillBilly will perform far better in the general than fauxbama. He’s only had to face moderately tough questions maybe twice so far on this campaign and he’s crumpled like the empty suit he is, both times. He’s gotten caught in lies, and handled them poorly.. etc etc etc.. this guy is just not remotely capable of surviving a general election.

Its not about the elected delegates, never has been.. face it. Fauxbama’s lead in delegates comes from caucus voters, not primary voters.

This is all about spin for the Convention. The only way this thing doesn’t go to the convention would be if fauxbama spanked HillBilly by 20 points in PA, and that’s not going to happen. Fauxbama went from making it close/competative to possibly pulling off an upset, to guaranteeing himself a large margin loss by getting caught stating the truth in San Fran.

He’s outspent HillBilly insanely here, and her misteps particularly in trying to turn the bosnia lie into a joke on national TV may have given Fauxbama an opening to honestly beat her.. but his San Fran stuff will cost him dearly. He loses the state by 5 points with the spending differential that should make the superdelegates pause big time voting for him... he loses it by 10+ then they have to know he has zero chance in a general election.

If the superdelegates vote [ read steal the nomination] for Clinton over Obama, it will fracture the Dem party irrevocably. I can’t see that happening. We are talking about not only this election, but future ones. The only caveat is that they may force Obama on the ticket as VP in a bid to unify the party. I doubt that would help much given the appearance that the black man was being asked to play second fiddle to the white woman even though he won more delegates thru the ballot box.
