A man is in the Bexar County Jail, accused of sexually assaulting a child. That child gave birth over the weekend and she says her infant son belongs to him.
Police say 44-year-old Juan Manuel Cepeda was arrested Sunday night, after a 15-year-old girl came forward with the claims.
Cepeda's arrest affidavit claims the rape happened in August last year. The teenager told police it was the only sexual contact she has ever had.
The affidavit also shows the girl gave birth at Santa Rosa Children's Hospital on Sunday.
The teen says Cepeda was a family friend who she knew from church.
Police say Cepeda is an illegal immigrant and a flight risk. He is being held without bond.

Gone are the good old days when we just lynched people like this.
When they are caught, flog them bloody and throw them into labor camps.
DNA will quickly resolve this case and I bet they can find a cell for him if guilty otherwise take him to the south end of Mexico and turn him lose.
“Kill him”? Please. This man deserves a fair trial and an, um, prolonged appeals process, uhh, just like - well - any other taxpaying American citiz... Never mind.
No offense, but prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that he’s guilty first. Then return him to Mexico via the Mexipault.
If he’s not guiltly, put a chip in his butt, then send him back to Mexico on a bus.
slowly.
Since the victim had the baby, a DNA test proving guilt will be no problem.
Someone will have to ask Felipe Calderon about this when he's here.
Dunno. It would prove statutory rape.
The girl made a big mistake by not reporting the rape when it happened. I think it would be hard, if not impossible to get most juries to return a guilty on this.
We still have it only the story goes like this.the brakes on my car have been acting reallll funny the last few days officer.
It wouldn’t be that hard with a paternity test. If the baby has the man’s DNA, and the girl was under the age of consent when it was conceived, that’s pretty conclusive evidence IMO. Although I’m thinking that the girl didn’t intend to report the rape at all, or didn’t want to at that time (something that’s not uncommon at all), but when she delivered her baby the hospital was required to report it, and she gave them the information they needed. I don’t know what the laws are in Texas, but as far as I’m aware all medical professionals are mandated reporters of child abuse (meaning that if they see evidence of abuse, they’re required by law to report it).
Family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande.
SDomeone will have to ask Felipe Calderon about this when he’s here”——
why not just ask Geraldo, he’s always here/
And Geraldo will tell you the illegals have the right
to commit crimes in direct proportion to their numbers here. See, Geraldo believes in equal opportunity criminality, and he will jump at the chance to tell you that native-born whites also commit these crimes, in equal or greater rations than illegal Mexicans. And in that he is WRONG.
