So you're both a n00bie and a liar.
Gotcha.
Not necessarily and it can be a big deal. Depending on what country you flying from and what country you are flying too you may be waving goodbye to your bag for good if it is unattended.
With todays security concerns a bag arriving in certain countries without its owner into another country is often detained or disposed of.
Well, the obvious solution is to be at the gate when they call your flight, instead of hanging out back at the Wi-Fi hotspot until the last possible minute.
Good, but not as funny as National Lampoon’s list of other terms for “vomit.”
"Where are you heading tonight sir?"
"The drug store, to pick up my insulin shots."
"GET OUT OF THE CAR NOW OR I WILL TAZE YOU!!!!! GET OUT NOW!!!!!"
You do realize, I hope, that there is a significant difference between saying "bomb" to a TSA Agent and saying "drug" or "shot" to a policeman.
Bombs kill people. Lots and lots of people.
Saying "drug" or "shot" to a policeman isn't quite the same thing. Never has been.
"Me, I liked it better when this zero judgement, run public places like prison yards stuff was something we read about in other countries."
Me, I have known for a long time (back as far as 1968) that "joking" about bombs in earshot of a security officer in an airport could get you into serious trouble.
Bombs kill people. Lots and lots of people.
Drugs and gunshots kill people too. Out of context words don't.
Oh puhleeze. Everyone, EVERYONE knows you don’t talk about bombs in the airport. Don’t make excuses for that woman’s stupidity by calling the TSA and airline people “brownshirts”. There are rules they have to follow even if they personally feel she’s just being a pain.
There are any number of things that woman could have said or done to try and get herself on or her baggage off that plane, and saying “there could be a bomb” is NOT one of them! Sheesh.
“Lax in her failure to report to the gate on time”? ROFL! Hey, if you have a plane to catch, be there early, especially given she’d already checked her baggage, which means earlier there or from a connector flight. Since when do you need a passenger with luggage that’s already been checked in? Luggage is routed incorrectly and “lost” on a regular basis, so there’s plenty of passengerless luggage flying around.
My favorite gate is C4.
Yo mamma! Gotcha
