Year over year, prices are lower, but as compared to last month, they haven't dropped further and may have rise.

Lots of problems with this report ... only 1 month, trying to summarize wide disparities in housing markets, and trying to adjust for seasonal variation in housing prices.

BUT ... for what it is ... this is good news. We still have about 10 months of supply on the market, as compared to a normal amount of maybe 5 or 6 months. But, possibly, maybe, we're seeing the housing market touch bottom.

House prices are higher than ever in this region. Many houses are for sale but it seems none are being bought. Everybody seems to be betting on the Gas Pipeline, which is fine if they can hang on another decade. If a military base is closed, the town would shut down anyway.
