I just saw a TV ad starring Newt Gingrich and his pal Nancy Pelosi pitching their bipartisan solution to the nonexistent "climate crisis".
You can join Newt and Nancy at http://wecansolveit.org/, if you wish to join their delusional bipartisan crusade.
"The greatest challenge facing mankind is the challenge of distinguishing reality from fantasy, truth from propaganda. Perceiving the truth has always been a challenge to mankind, but in the information age (or as I think of it, the disinformation age) it takes on a special urgency and importance." Michael Crichton
Newt has sold out.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
I saw that commercial last night and remarked much the same to my wife...”Aw Newt, they got to you too?”
I’ve seen that too and I can’t help but wonder: “What was he thinking?”
This is beyond disappointing. How easily the Washington pols bend to crooked fads, whims, falsehoods, scams and lies — all for the sake of political expediency and maintaining their power.
He just needs to go away now!
Lost all respect for Newt. I thought he was smarter than that. Or, does he have stock in the carbon credit business.
“climate crisis” is Latin for “revenue generator”
Politicians simply creating issues to get more money and power.
Newt sold out a long time ago.
When he deftly rerouted the 1994 class into swearing support for the "Contract For America" rather than their true mandate of shrinking the Federal monster he demonstrated WHO he was working for, and that was NOT the American people.
Pat Robertson is doing a similar ad with Al Sharpton...
Is there some polling somewhere that is swaying Newt and George? This is very disturbing. Where are the Repubs who refute this scam?
It’s been running for awhile, and yes, Newt’s padding his retirement fund, philosophical differences aside.
Newt is all about Newt. He’s a pandering opportunistic fraud.

Newt is selling us a bill of goods because his political life is at the bottom of the well.
I saw the ad. I’ve seen another one to with Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson.

I have never in my life seen such an idiotic exhibition of stupidity. Fox News needs to get rid of him or they will be laughed at,too. Watching those two together actually makes me cringe.
“Pat Robertson is doing a similar ad with Al Sharpton...”
Even creepier than Newt & Nancy.
Follow the money. Everything has its price for everyone.
So then what would he be doing in a TV ad with Marxists?
Newt has eschewed his intellectual chastity.
Newt should of asked Nancy about her common sense plan to reduce gas prices, when she was campaigning before the 06 election Nancy claimed to have such a deal, since the dems have taken over congress gas prices have risen almost 2.00 a gallon in lots of places...
Newt is a very very smart guy. He’s just not on our side.
The fix is in, unless you believe that there is always hope. Now, where to go from here?
Do the Dems ever come over to our side?
good one..
Yes, but in this case, solutions to what? More and more, this big push by the Left to legitimize "climate change" seems to me a hysterical effort to make sure Al Gore is right about something for once, whatever the cause.
If there's one thing the Left hates, it's having egg on its collective face. They'll do their damndest to alter the truth so that doesn't happen.
Juveniles, in other words.
I may disagree, I thought it looked like Newt was going to lean over an lay a went one on Nancy..... HIGH ICK Factor!
Newt lost me when he had an universal health care press conference with Satan.
You hit that one outta the PARK!
I agree. The sad thing is that the Left has been allowed to co-opt the high ground on this issue. Now opponents actually have to 'acknowledge' the Big Hoax in order to put forward market-based ideas. It's a tragedy that almost no politicians have called BS on the carbon issue. Jim Imhofe is the only one I know of who's faced the issue square-on but few of his Republican cohorts have the guts to join him.
Money seems to top common sense. We are enduring (still) the coldest winter in 30-40 years, so now Republicans are jumping on the global warming band wagon. We are having record breaking lows while we keep praying for even a tiny bit of global warming to help out.
You nailed it.
What in the heck is going on with the Pub party anyway? This GW crap is a big load of BS and a method to make us go back to third world standards. God made this world and God is the only one who can destroy it. We certainly can help keep it clean but that crap they come up with will not help a damn thing.
It would surprise me to see to see their kids in lucrative positions at the firms trading carbon credits.
Funny thing is their kids should have went to school and majored in mining engineering or nuclear engineering, to lead the efforts in drilling off the coast of CA, MA, FLA, in the Gulf, ANWR, and Under the Great Lakes. Not to mention the Bakken find and the Gas find in PA/VA. Or a another degree that would help with the Fisher-Tropsch process in converting Coal to liquid fuel.
But that would take real effort and somehow nullifying the lunacy of such groups as the Serra Club to make all of the above happen.....
Beam me up Scotty, the House and the Senate have no clue about energy independence....
Newt and Pat Robertson are not going to be left out of the $ to be made off ordinary people. They're going to ride the taxpayer gravy train if not by "carbon credits" by being paid to be spokesmen to scare and convince peons to wreck the economy and destroy the country to save their grandchildren to live a more meager existence than their great-grandparents did. The kiddies will be happy to have no future in order to "save the planet" since they've been well brainwashed.
Lost all respect for Newt. I thought he was smarter than that. Or, does he have stock in the carbon credit business.
You would think as much time as these guys spend in front of cameras they could do these pathetic commercials without looking like the cast from Waiting For Guffman.
One of the “action alerts” at wecansolveit.org is a petition for a Kyoto-style international treaty:
http://wecansolveit.org/page/s/globaltreaty
Won’t you please log on and sign the petition?
I think the Pubs have decided that it’s easier to just go with the 66% of ignorant, lazy takers than try to teach them. New Slogan: Teach a person to fish and it will take awhile. Give them a fish, and they will follow you anywhere.
Newt sold out a long time ago.
