No mother should ever leave her children in the care of her boyfriend. The most likely thing that will happen is that the boyfriend will totally neglect the child. But the odds of the child being injured, molested or killed are far too high.

You can’t help but notice how often it is a stepdad or a boyfriend that does these things. Much less rarely it is the natural father. In a sad kind of way, it reminds of those lions on the discovery channel that run off the old male and then proceed to kill all of the youngsters before impregnating the females.
well I probably will have kids. Not having them is something I sometimes ponder though; if I might be slightly less conerned about the fate of the world if I did not have children.
Sometimes I do have the fleeting thought that we might be living in the end times though. We probably aren’t but I can’t help but think that now and then. I think the bible verse even mentions it would be especially hard for mothers.
Have to stop paying attention to the news which is trying to spook people into voting democrat with the story that sams club is not letting one person buy 500 pounds of foreign rice at once. LOL
Well the next thing you will hear will be the call for “affordable child care”. The child would still be alive if the woman had “affordable child care” which translates into us paying nearly as much or more to watch the kid as the mother would earn in her job.
It really is quite simple. Defer child bearing until a married couple can afford to have the mother stay home with the children. Most importantly, stay together in a marriage relationship.
The formula has worked for a very long time. I am afraid western civilization is doomed because we have lost sight of this fact.

Dude, I'm a working musician myself (Guitar, Bass). The "guitar hero" video game is about the most popular and best selling on the planet at the moment. Every kid knows all about it, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if that's exactly the game this guy was playing when he went into his murderous rage.
My reply was pure sarcasm which you will find in play on this forum in abundance, so before you go firing off flames at others you might want to chill out and do some checking first. Maybe try google or ask any kid.

Ah, so. That's all the explanation I need. I'm 56, I don't play video games (as I said elsewhere, my last serious stint of video game playing was 30 years ago with Breakout in a bar). So I don't know sh!t from Shinola about what games are current.

Oh, I'm aware of sarcasm; I use it myself. But I generally add a tag (/s, /sarc) to alert the unwary or uninformed, so that they don't take it literally, as in this case I did (being uninformed about the video game).

I wasn't flaming -- I asked, calmly, what you meant, and whether my being offended was warranted. That's all. You answered my question. No big deal.

As a guitar player, I think of "guitar hero" in a positive sense -- somebody talented, cool, flashy perhaps.
Your comment seemed -- to me -- to be saying: "This murdering asshole probably thinks he's a guitar hero", as though there were some connection between musicians and criminals. Hence my question ("What the heck are you talking about?")
