Robbery victim kills intruder

The victim of a robbery in Queens fatally shot one of the three intruders early Tuesday morning with a gun they left behind, police said.

A man and his girlfriend were returning to their Middle Village apartment about 4:50 a.m. when they were confronted by three men, police said.

According to the victim, the men forced the couple into the apartment, where they tied them up with plans to rob the place, cops said.

Somehow, the victim was able to get loose and grab a gun one of the suspects had left unattended, he told police. He shot one of his attackers in the head, killing him.

The other two fled.

No arrests had been made last night.

Police continued to question the victim, who neighbors said kept odd hours and was unfriendly.

"We didn't think they belonged in a neighborhood like this," said one neighbor in the family friendly area. "No one ever said hello or goodbye to them, and we preferred it that way."

Interesting that they got the right person as the victim. Usually they reverse it. We are winning the culture war.

“We didn’t think they belonged in a neighborhood like this,” said one neighbor in the family friendly area. “No one ever said hello or goodbye to them, and we preferred it that way.”

Sounds like a drug dealer or thug laying low in a family oriented neighborhood.

In NY, they will probably end up charging the victim with possession of an unregistered gun.

Yep. They’re prob going to say the gun belongs to the victim and was not left by the intruders.

They got the right person as the victim, but they still trashed him:

Police continued to question the victim, who neighbors said kept odd hours and was unfriendly.

“We didn’t think they belonged in a neighborhood like this,” said one neighbor in the family friendly area. “No one ever said hello or goodbye to them, and we preferred it that way.”

Or a diamond wholesaler.

This is weird. I'm going to have to re-think everything... so maybe the gun grabbers are right when they say a gun owner is likely to be shot by his own gun. These robbers didn't have a chance charging in with guns... and it's a good thing the victims didn't have any guns since they would have probably all shot themselves accidentally long before their home was robbed!

When you’ve finished defending yourself with your house weapon (loaded with ammo you’ve handled with rubber gloves) you simply tell the cops that you took the weapon from the perp and turned it on him. How do they prove otherwise?

This is assuming that you finished him off. Some damned liberal judge is likely to believe the bad guy if he survives to testify.

And today at 2:00 pm Bloomberg will hold a TV presser demanding the shooter get the death penalty for having the audacity to *murder* a fellow resident of HIS city with a gun. And undoubtedly an 'ILLEGAL' gun to boot!!!

After all, if he was able to free himself why didn't he just call 911 and wait for the cavalry to arrive. Because he was a VIGILANTE taking the law into his own hands, right Bloomie.

Sounds to me like this guy was up to no good. Dare I say, crack dealer??? I also would not be surprised if the gun left unattended was his own illegally obtained heat. After all, it does not sound like there will be witnesses to testify against him. Not that I care about one scumbag offing another scumbag. The second amendment is also for drug dealers protecting their stash after all. I could be wrong, but I don’t think so...
