A vessel contracted by the Navy in the Persian Gulf fired warning shots Thursday on two Iranian fast boats, FOX News has learned. The Westward Venture, a ship contracted by the Navy to carry military cargo to Kuwait, fired upon the boats Thursday after attempts to get Iranian boats' attention failed. The ship was about 50 miles off the coast of Iran when the fast boats approached. A Navy security team, armed with M16 rifles and .50-caliber machine guns, was onboard at the time the warning shots were fired.

When dealing with Iran, warning shots should breach the bridge.

However, eventually the cat will catch the mouse and beat the ever loving crud out of it.

One can only hope it is not starting. Our brave soldiers are already fighting a two front war. They don't need to be fighting a three front war.

I sympathize, but they’re already fighting a three-front war. Unacknowledged conflicts are impossible to win.
Anyway, Coalition Naval forces would suffer the brunt of any additional action. They have been suffering under preposterous ROE for too long: being able to go weapons-free in the gulf as a result of an Iranian casus belli would be a huge step forward.

Yes and mostly no.
When that one lights off . . . it will grow into a true WWIII conflagration and not end until the very satanic world ruler ‘wages war with peace’ as Scripture says of his scripted temporary pseudo peace . . . . only to get going again when he begins his slaughter of Jews at the New Temple courtyard . . . and then it won’t end until Armageddon . . .
. . . after 1/3 to 2/3 of the world’s population has been killed.
Amanutjob of Iran needs put in his place . . . I wish there were a better . . . singular . . . way to do it.

Won't work. Another more extreme dictator will fill the power void if we strike and leave. We would have to occupy for years to prevent it. History proves this is the case almost every time.

Coalition? That means the US Navy.
We are going to be stoplossing troops into fourth and fifth tours of mideast hotzones. There's just no way to do the Iran thing successfully without occupation and a lot more feet on the ground. I don't support expanding the current mission into Iran.

Let's say the Iranians ignored the warning shots... at what point would our forces fire on the ship? When they get within a certain distance? When they (the Iranians) fire upon the ship? Does our forces have the green light to initiate fire or do they have to get affirmative from the headquarters?
Because I'm sure this is exactly the quandry those British forces faced when they got kidnapped by the Iranians a year or two ago...
It sounds like the Iranians are looking for any excuse to create another front for our forces. And we are already tapped out in the WOT. Imagine how bad the looney left is now... wait until we start bombing Iran...

I find it exceptionally unlikely that we will accomplish regime change simply through air strikes. Of course it will require troops on the ground, and of course it will require occupation.
I think we should be careful not to overextend our forces if we want the individual missions to be successful.

I still don’t know what to make of a lot of the 2012 stuff.
Holding all that loosely on the top shelf still.
However, I do know that a major researcher in the field was extremely sobered and insisting that the powers that be insisted that citizens did NOT WANT to know what was coming downt he pike in 2012. And she seemed to know and wouldn’t budge.
Later a FREEPER queried her about my assertion and she denied ever saying such a thing. Evidently even saying that much was too dangerous for her.
I have a hard time imagining things holding together that long. She was insisting that everyone was just trying to hold things together until then.
Then there are those who insist that WWIII/IV is going to get lit off before the end of 2008. If so, I’d say after the Olympic games and after the election. But God only knows.
I think the puppet masters are convinced that they and their ET buddies are in control. They have bought the deception that the ET explanations/cosmology is 100% true when it’s fostered by the father of lies.
They actually believe that God Almighty will lose at Armageddon. Satan knows better but what an effective way to take lots of God’s favorite creatures to hell with him.
Thankfully, GOD IS IN CONTROL AND has more surprises up His bigger sleeves than satan can imagine.

But if pre-Millenialism is the correct interpretation, we won’t be here to be concerned with it. Ultimately, this means that we should only be concerned with the souls of others being saved - the tribulations will be for those we don’t reach.

I’m certainly convinced of a pre-wrath Rapture, at least . . .
Have increasingly thought there would be more than one catching away. . . . and even before I read the other fellow recently . . . that there would be a TRANSFORMED and left in place for a while [he says 40 days] to do exploits in our heavenly bodies . . . but he also says the Great Tribulation will only be 3.5 years. I’m still leaning toward 7 years.
I certainly want the first elevator UP!
We shall see.
Certainly the priority is to witness of the Hope that lies within us and to live the life before a hurting world.

God can tell folks walking close to Him and listening attentively to Him . . . if their own internal noise is quiet enough.
Satanic forces also are somewhat outside of/beyond/have access to dimensions not part of this time/space dimension.
Some assert that the shadow government also now has the technology to move around in time—at least in a recon sense.
Time will tell.

I believe we can use our airpower to destoy these clowns
IF they decide to start something with troops, our forces have the means to monitor their every move, like we are already, I am sure
I have no sympathy for an Iranian Army that invades Iraq that now has an Army with AMERICAN leaders, weapons, and manpower and airpower and over 2 MILLION Iraqi men who would be quite willing to re-fight that war on those terms!
