Over the last several weeks I have been asked how it is that so many in this nation, particularly in the democratic party can support and back and hold up as icons to the rest of us, individuals and groups who have such abject oppostion and hate to this nation, the United States of America, and all that has made her great.

Most recently in THIS THREAD on FreeRepublic, the question was asked most eloquently in this manner:

Why is a couple like this is not only accepted in liberal Democratic Party circles and the academic world, but embraced with open arms – in fact, rewarded for their self-declared armed struggle against America, a war they still defend adamantly to this day?

Simply and directly put, because they are all the enemies of all that we hold dear in this nation and all that has made us the great nation that we are. That's why.

Individual liberty, unalienable rights endowed by God, the fundamental republican and moral principles this nation was founded upon, virtue, honor, trust, and everything that has come together to create and maintain the freest, most giving, most principled, most prosperous, and most powerful nation in the history of the earth and one that has been and still is the beacon of hope to all mankind.

These people are against all of that and have devoted their lives to fundamentally changing and biring it all down in favor of a collectivist, socio-marxist, compulsive, and tyranical system where they are in control and the individual American is nothing more than a pawn and chatel for their own ideological fantasies.

Their ideology and goals are one that history has proven to be abject failures and whooly genocidal, and which ought to be, as Ronald Reagan indicated, relegated to the trach heap of history.

But they haven't gone away and now they have a particular candidate, and at least one more, who represent the pinnacle of their political, indoctrination, and propoganda achievements in this nation, lined up to be nominated for the Democratic candidate for President.

To the extent that they have been successful in education, in business, and particularly in our electoral process (and they have, tragically, been successful in all of these areas) all of those earlier qualities I mentioned that have undergirded our Republic for so long, have been wasted away, torn down, and weakened to the point today where we have a large segment of the population so beholden to these enemies. so dumbed down, so ignorant of the principles that maintain all of our liberty, that we are seriously in jeopardy of giving all power in this nation to the very enemies who would destroy it.

That is why the likes of traitors like Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakahn, Jeremiah Wright, James Cone, and so many political parties like the New Black Panthers, the Socialist Party USA, the Communist Party USA, and even HAMAS who hate this nation and are dedicated to its fundamental change and destruction are held up as icone by the left and the leadership of the Democratic Party and much of academia. They all have the same goals and they glory in the success of one another towards the achievement of them.

All of this ties together and any American of any stripe who values their individual liberty should study these things out for themselves, throw off the chains of the governmental dole and public largess, of the indcotinration andpropoganda dealt out by liberal academia, and then act and vote accordingly.

Well...in today's world, I do not particularly want to look "intellectual" in any case. If people will reject the message because of a simple mistake like that...then they never wanted to consider the message in the first place.

Having said that, two answers.

The first humorous. aA icone is short for the liberal icon James Cone.

Second, the issue is easily addressed by a simple message to the admin mod asking for it to be fixed, which I will make.

My nephew just graduated from college with a BS in Sociology and Philosophy i.e. a “social engineering degree”. His old man was a union organizer with communist bona fides. Why you ask? You have to go all the way back to our education system. Our kids are controlled by the teachers and don’t know the history of this country, its beliefs of our fathers and grandfathers. Without that they think everyone in the world is a goody two shoes and won’t realize what the world is really like until it is too late. Communists goals are to take over our schools. By doing this, they will control everything. Put your kids in private schools and forget public education.

Because the people who have taken over the Democrat party want to destroy the United States and will do anything they can to do so. The left has taken over the Universities, a lot of the civilian government and most of the environmental parts of the Federal government. Its a redundant question. Its like saying why do NAZI's embrace facists? The TRUE enemies if the US are domestic, not foreign. Sure Al Quida is a threat, but they would have never gotten into this country except through lax liberal immagration laws, liberal judges and corrupt liberals infultration of every level of the Government, the media and acedemia. They can now throughly destroy this country at all levels, from the mind of the youth to the agency's sworn to protect us. We have met the enemy and they are now US.

The surface answer is that they hate everything about traditional America, but it goes much, much deeper. Reality is that this country was founded by Christians on Christian principles. Because of that, God poured out staggering blessings upon us. Some liberals may claim affection for some absurd notion of a generic God, a simple one-sided being who plays the role of a good-natured uncle who dismisses everything with a wink and a nod. The truth is that they hate God in His real nature.

Since this country was founded and built on Godly ideals, they loathe it. They take our principles and twist them, distort them, pound them into unrecognizable atrocities. Their ideas on society have failed spectacularly throughout history, but they don’t care. They’re right and they know what’s best for everybody, although they almost always except themselves from the controls they impose on others.

Bottom line? Liberalism is an insidious evil. Evil comes from one place. It hates all that is good and right; always has, and will until it’s defeated once and for all. The sad and unfortunate truth is that this insidious evil is now largely in control of the forces that shape our society. They control the flow of information, from pre-K to the grave, first by indoctrination posing as education, then by the media. We played the role of frogs at low boil for so long that they took the country from us.

Very few of those will get anything once their “masters”, meaning theose whom they hold up as icons, actually get power. The bigger question is how ‘conservatives’ can support a liberal like McCain.

Simple, they have no one else they can support. But the more McCain speaks the harder it becomes to say he would do less harm to America then either of these democrats. Bush is heading down this same road too as of late. My only option left is to pray to God that America will get beyond this awful period in American history realtively unscathed. Ayers publically declared war on the US and sided with our enemies in the 1960s and vilent waged a campaign specifically to bring down our government. If that is not abject treason I do not know what is. He turned himself in under the Carter years (surprise, surprise) but shouold have been found guilty and danced on the end of a rope. To this day he is open about it, unreprentant, and public about saying he wished that he had done more.

If we as a nation and a people allow such abject enemies to be set up as icons and to be promoted to professors to teach our own children...what can I say, if that is not a suicide pact as far as our Constitutional Republic and individual liberites are concerned, I do not know what is.

The recent ruling by the Supreme Court regarding treaty law and how it effects the several states was a blow to the UN and others wanting to us the Constitution to justify pushing an agenda through treaties, thereby over-riding constitutional and state laws.

That was only round 1 for them. They'll try again until they get a SC that will sympathize with them. Ginsberg believes we should integrate our laws with the International community. I'm waiting to see if the L.O.S.T. is going to be passed. That will be the tipping point for what happens to our country.
