How can Barack Obama win keys to the White House? Karl Rove offers a few tips
The UK Times ^ | 04/26/08 | The Times

Posted on 04/26/2008 8:17:17 AM PDT by AKSurprise

"Karl Rove, who masterminded the last two Republican victories in presidential elections, is gazing with undisguised relish at the giant target being painted on Barack Obama's back before the next one.

In an interview with The Times yesterday, he described the likely Democratic nominee as a “frail” candidate, who represents the values of an out-of-touch liberal social elite and demonstrates “tone deafness” to the concerns of ordinary Americans.

“You have probably seen this kind of guy at London parties, trailing ash from a fashionable cigarette into the carpet and making snide remarks about someone ‘being an abominable bore’,” Mr Rove said.

He suggested that voters have not heard the last of Mr Obama’s recent comments at a San Francisco fund-raiser, where he suggested small town Pennsylvanians were clinging to guns and religion because they were “bitter”.

The candidate sounded, Mr Rove said, as if he was following in the footsteps of his anthropologist mother “reporting on the exotic species of voter he had encountered in some dark corner on the opposite side of the globe”."

"A bigger problem for Mr Obama, he said, is winning industrial states like Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania with a voter base that resembles “George McGovern's coalition of college students and white wine sippers”."

I don’t feel that way at all. He is much more dangerous and would usher in an era of liberalism in America. Clinton triangulates like her husband and will not be a leader of a movement. She’s in it for power. We can recover much more quickly from a Clinton presidency than Obama. He’s only 47. We would have 30 years of a well-spoken voice in favor of liberalism.

I saw him on Tuesday (Primary night here in PA) on Fox. First, Karl looked good...lost a few a pounds. Second, he was practically gleeful in his explanations of democratic mindset that makes some PA dems ‘more equal’ (ie., Philly voters) than dems in the rest of the state. Its how they weight the votes per density of dems in a Congressional district...blah, blah, blah...but Rove was practically giggling when he did the math and explained the whole process.

And, if that is not enough, just ask yourself, why Che Guevara, who was a radical, murderous Marxist revolutionary in Argentina, Cuba, and Bolivia, and who became Fidel Castro's chiefexecutioner...why is his picture proudly diplayed proudly at Obama election Headquarters?

Amen. THAT is why I switched registration and voted for Hillary. Also, I think she (if she wins) would be a one term President; that coupled with the large amount of Clinton haters still left in DC (won’t be too eager to help her with her agenda) that she is the least dangerous.

Thing about Obama is he isn’t a reptile. We know who he is, what he stands for and Americans will not vote for it. Hillary is a snake. She will do and say whatever it takes to win the Whitehouse.

The thought of even having Hillary get anywhere near November is scary. She should have been destroyed when we had the chance in Texas and Ohio. Letting her back in this race is going to come back to haunt the American people.

We would have 30 years of a well-spoken voice in favor of liberalism.

Get ready for that, because he isn't going anywhere at all.
A defeat this year is not going to kill him, and he is going to be a part of American politics for a very long time.

As president, he would be much weaker than any Clinton who all have decades of experience and frameworks within the Democrat party.

Obama would have to fight for everything; Clinton would have backers who are beholden to her in some way.
Hell, even McCain votes with her on many things.

She also will be around as long as Ted Kennedy...

Barack Mohammed (since we are no longer to refer to his given middle name) Obama, Jr., the charismatic, messianic Magic Negro, should be careful in accepting advice from Karl Rove.

Next thing you know, Karl will be showing Barack just how to manipulate the huge weather control machine that sends smashing hurricanes into downtown New Orleans, or how to induce Congress into voting for engagement in a war that nobody seems to want, with the vast mind-altering ray contraption.

Karl Rove is just Technical Support for all these forms of new technology.

These part intrigued me:

His failure to win white working-class voters in states like Ohio and Pennsylvania — both certain to be important battlegrounds in November’s general election — has raised doubts about his fitness for the fight against John McCain. He sometimes appears drained by his fight with Mrs Clinton, a woman 14 years older than him, taking time off the campaign trail this week and setting himself a light schedule for the coming days.

Whereas he once energised rallies with the chant, “Fired up! Ready to go!” he now complains about feeling tired and the length of primary season, or says he wants to go home to see his young family.

I can't believe how many Freepers have bought the Klintoon bait hook, line and sinker.

Have you all forgot Waco? Ruby Ridge? Vince Foster? Mena, Arkansas? White-water? The Rose Law Firm? Dismantling the Military? Selling Technology to the Chinese? General Thuggery? Murder?

If you think for a second that Hitlery is the "Lesser-Evil" you are sadly mistaken. Hitlery is smart enough not to run around saying what she really believes in public. She is smart enough to throw a few bones to the "middle" here and there in order to maintain a "moderate" image. But you have to remember, all of this is done with the Whitehouse being the end-game. Once there she no longer has to maintain a "moderate" image. She will run to the left, much further than Klintoon 43 ever did.

Obama is a bumbling idiot who speaks well, but he is inexperienced and is not the cold calculating monster that the filthy banshee is.

What you see with him is what you will get. With Hitlery you'll get far worse, make no mistake about it. Couple with the fact that she is far more ruthless than Obama could ever dream about being, you have the makings of a disaster.

On top of that, McCain CAN'T BEAT HITLERY. Far too many people have been hoodwinked by her "moderate" game, and people in PA, OH, and MI will run to her in droves.

Obama on the other hand CAN'T BEAT MCCAIN. There is no way that the people of PA, OH, and MI are going to vote for him after his comments directed at them, and there is no where else on the electoral map that Obama can make up those loses.

Make no mistake about it. Obama is Jimmah Carter Redux. Hillary is Adolph Hitler 2.0.

We can survive the first, we cannot survive the second.

Hillary has already lost this election. There is just no way that she can prevail without destroying her party, and her party will not allow that.

She may try a shot at 2012, or frantically shoot for the VP spot, but that could be a long shot.

"In an interview with The Times yesterday, he described the likely Democratic nominee as a “frail” candidate, who represents the values of an out-of-touch liberal social elite and demonstrates “tone deafness” to the concerns of ordinary Americans."

"Some liberal commentators have downplayed the effect of Barack Obama's recent fundraising speech in San Francisco. But that's wishful thinking. Along with the revelations about Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright, his remarks in San Francisco will haunt him not only in the upcoming primaries in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia, but also in the general election against John McCain, assuming he gets the Democratic nomination."

"To win in November, a Democratic presidential candidate has to carry most of the industrial heartland states that stretch from Pennsylvania to Missouri. That becomes even more imperative if a Democrat can't carry Florida -- and because of his relative weakness in South Florida, Obama is unlikely to do so against McCain. Ruy Teixeira and I have calculated that in the heartland states, a Democratic presidential candidate has to win 45 to 48 percent of the white working-class vote. In some states, like West Virginia and Kentucky, the percentage is well over a majority."

I can't believe how many Freepers have bought the Klintoon bait hook, line and sinker.

I wouldn't call it buying the bait. But it's true that Freepers and many conservative blogs I read have been going easy on Hil lately, compared to the way they go after Obama. (And I have to include myself in that as well, I suppose.) Still, I don't think it has to do with thinking she's a lesser evil. Not as far as I'm concerned anyway. The thing is, Obama will be the nominee this year. Period. Hil can't win enough pledged delegates to get the nod, and no way will the supers have the guts to take it from Obama if he leads in the delegate count going into Denver. (Which he almost certainly will.) So Obama is the imminent threat, in other words. Hil, though, still looms as a much, much bigger threat down the road, particularly in 2012 if Obama loses.

And I agree with you that Obama will be much easier for McCain to beat in the general than Hil. Plus, Barry would be less likely to get a lot of things through Congress that Hil would. If Obama won, Congressional Dems would end up turning on him to save their own skins, probably before the 2010 midterms.

So if you consider really this is waht it looks like.

A. McCain hates Conservatives.
B. He distrusts Conservatives.

Therefore to think, hope, wish, that he will appoint a coservative to the bench that would in fact overturn McCain/Fiengold is drinking WAT TOO MUCH McCain Kool-Aid. IMHO

I seldom give conspiracy theories much thought, but $20 says that Bill will find some way to make sure Hillary never gets in the White House. Though he'd never admit it, he'll find some way to sabotage her efforts. If he doesn't and she gets in, in ages to come, when someone says "President Clinton," it'll be the mother of Webb Hubbell's butt-ugly love child that people will recall first, not him.
