The question has lingered since it arose last week during the federal corruption trial of Antoin "Tony" Rezko: Why, just weeks after winning the Democratic U.S. Senate primary in 2004, would Barack Obama attend a party for a controversial Iraqi-born billionaire whom Rezko was trying to lure into an investment?
In an interview Friday, Obama didn't deny the assertion by Stuart Levine, the government's star witness in the Rezko trial, about the party honoring Nadhmi Auchi, a British citizen who is appealing a fraud conviction in France. Obama said he didn't recall the event.

There is no doubt in my mind that Obama has been a coke user for many years after his college days.

And these are supposed to be intelligent people who want to run the country? And they can't ever remember anything? Or what they remember is usually a lie or cover-up! These people will have to make agreements and sign papers with heads of state. Will they be so forgetful when doing so?
One thing is sure - We remember. We remember every contradiction, boldfaced lie, spin story, etc. We remember all the shameful acts, statements, liaisons, frauds of the Democrats that they think we will forget -- but we never forget. Guess that is why the GOP has an elephant as its symbol and the Dems have a dumb donkey - Hee haw!

As I remember the Clintons were rather economical with the words I do not recall with the press to whom they usually just lied outright. They waited until they were put under oath, to start using the tried and true defense bar weasel phrases recommended for avoiding perjury.

He is a long time Democrat, he told me that he was a DINO because he could not support his two candidates.
On another subject,Govenator Swansong is cutting 10% and that is not all bad.
However, the cuts are not being made to the do nothing employees in upper management but to low level employees such as teachers and that is BAD.
If 100 teachers are justified by the number of students then how can 10 of those teachers be taken away with what justification.
Our local school is losing several teachers but yet we still have a superintendent, asst to superintendent, principal, vice-principal, vice-principal for discipline, asst principal, coordinator, athletic director, several coaches, assistants and a huge office staff. Plus the school is making extensive improvements to it's physical plant that are very costly yet serve no learning purpose.
Not one of the upper echelon in school management is being let go.
Not one of the cost expensive nor cost effective projects has been canceled.
When liberals like Obama talk about cutting they are not talking about cutting useless jobs in management.
Teaching personnel are cut because it brings the hurt directly to the parents who are paying for this nonsense.
There I said it, rant for today.
Surely not all the voters in the Land of Lincoln are so ignorant as to believe sending an inexperienced boob like Obama to Washington would be to their benefit.
