Meltdown

These bear the tell-tale signs of scorned lovers’ rants. Their once beloved candidate is now reviled, mocked and tossed overboard while they prepare for the possible return of their “ex” with all the unpleasantness that entails. And who is joining them?

Well, none other than Howard Dean, who until recently seemed to pursue strategies designed to either end the race early (Obama liked that) or to encourage delegates to respect the pledged delegate count (Obama really liked that). Yet Friday, for the first time, Dean uttered this: “I think the race is going to come down to the perception in the last six or eight races of who the best opponent for McCain will be. I do not think in the long run it will come down to the popular vote or anything else.”

So it may be that these people have something in common: none of them really wants to be on the wrong side when the Democratic race ends. Pundits hate to have guessed wrong–so far better to excoriate the candidate who they will insist was wonderful, but but messed up–and party leaders never want to be on the winner’s wrong side. So better to shuffle over to the Clinton cheering section, however distasteful that might seem. She, at least from listening to all these voices, now appears to be the odds on favorite.

Democrats are so fickle, 8 months ago the dream of a return to the “glory years” with Bubba and hill was all they could speak of. Then they threw her under the bus for the magic Negro. Now they will trash him and return to the prior scenario.

Flip-Flop.

With Soro’s money and the Clinton long knives, McCain may have to leave his “goodietwoshoes act” behind and begin to really expose his opposition.

I hadn’t thought so until Dean’s latest remarks.

However, at what cost does she win the nomination. Obama’s supporters are “cult like” in their devotion (and at this point they REALLY hate Hillary), so I can’t imagine the outrage it she’s awarded the nomination because of the SD’s.

I thought of a new tagline for the useful idiots on FR who think we’d be better off if “took out Hillary when she’s down”, Operation Chaos never happened and Obama was handed the RAT nomination on a silver platter two monthes ago.

The Fix is in!!!!! Hildabeast is the Nominee as of Howard Deniac’s pronouncement that “THE POPULAR VOTE WILL NOT COUNT,IT WILL BE THE DETERMINATION OF WHO HAS THE BEST CHANCE OF BEATIMG McCAIN”!
Democratic Voters and Contributors SHOULD BE FURIOUS!!!!!after all of the energy, effort and money they have dedicated to their constitutional rights.
Will they be furious? Lets wait and see!

Everyday this is becoming more of a possibility. If Hillary does steal the nomination, then not only will Denver burn, but every major metropolitan city with a large black population.

I disagree. I have always maintained that no matter who came in first in the primaries, Hillary would get the nomination at the convention. She was supposed to be the 'one' before the upstart from Illinois made his play.

She doesn't care about the democratic party, only herself and acquisition of power. It doesn't matter to her if the democratic party survives or tubes.

What I think people have forgotten is that the Arkansas mafia is far more powerful than the Chicago political thugs i.e. the Daleys.

If Hillary concludes that her chances against McCain in the general are destroyed because ~20% of the blacks as well as a huge portion of the college crowd decline to participate, she will “graciously” turn the nomination over to Obama and then (covertly, of course) sabotage his campaign and make sure he loses.

McCain will be closing in on 80 in 2012, and he may be easier pickings by then anyway. Certainly, the Democrat newsrooms will do what they can to help the Demorats - - nothing new there. If Hillary needs to wait four years to achieve her ultimate goal, then so be it. She will NOT risk an end to her Presidential aspirations by engaging in a losing battle this year.

She will get the nomination and there will be chaos in the streets for a while, but eventually it will all blow over in time for everyone to be friends in Denver. The Clinton's will pull this out, and if they do, the will win in November. Remember the right’s astonishment that he won a second term? They will stay in it until they win it. They're experts at this.

McCain will not live to see 2012 and we best be paying close attention to who the VP is on this ticket.

The Dems will run a “fusion” ticket of Clinton/Obama, be adored by the media and sweep to victory in November carrying both houses of congress too.

Operation Chaos will have accomplished nothing of value to the conservative cause. A new “Fairness Doctrine” will be enacted. Conservative talk radio will be crippled. Only the biggest names (like Limbaugh & Hannity) will survive.

I do not think in the long run it will come down to the popular vote or anything else.”

Fact is, Dean no longer has a clue what to do.

Now he may have pretty much usually been wrong about nearly everything, but at least he always thought that he knew what he was doing, and why he was doing it.

But lately, ever since his brilliant strategy failure with Florida and Michigan, and his subsequent failed efforts to bring a measure of control to chaos, he doesn't know what to do.

I have frequently posted here since the DNC and RNC both went a bit nutty about these party rules that this was going to come back and bite someone right in the ass.

Now the GOP got a pass on their mistake, but the Manchurian candidate has it locked up beyond question, so the issue is now moot, but as for Howie?

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! 8^)

What’s really nice is there’s a dispute as to who has the lead in the popular vote. Counting FL and MI Clinton has the lead. Thus both can claim the popular vote title.

Why would it be easier for billary to beat an incumbent (VP)in 2012 then it would be to beat a Rep in a race with no incumbancy to fight?

I have to really chuckle at some of the statements made on this forum about the Clinton's in particular and the Democrats in general. Someone flying in from outer space would believe the Democrats are a “can't loose power machine” and the Clinton's are omnipotent Dieties who rule with a wave of the hand.

Get with the program, folks. This isn't the 1990’s anymore. This is the day of the alternative news sources, YouTube, DRUDGE and all the other places news can now be spread when before we had to depend 100% on the liberal media to tell the truth. The left does NOT control the news cycle any longer. Ten years ago this Wright character would never have made the news, or if it did it would have been a 1 day story and ultimately a plus for Hussein Obama after he gave his explanatory speech a few days later. You remember the one, it sent shivers up Chris Matthews leg when he heard it.

The Swift Boat Vets would have been powerless to stop John F’n Kerry had the race taken place in the 1990’s. It's a whole new ballgame today and the biggest losers in the information blitz available to all is the left. Their success depends on shaping and reporting only the news that benefits them. They cannot do that any longer.

The life expectancy for an American white male aged 70 is 13.7 years. Thus McCain has about a 50% chance of still being alive 13 years from now (2021). His mother is still alive and well in her mid-90s, so he may have genes favoring above-average longevity.

There are more than 6 billion people alive right now. Not a single one of them can say with absolute certainty that he or she will still be alive in the year 2012.

In 1940 the Republican Party nominated Wendell Willkie for President and Charles McNary for Vice President for the term ending Jan. 20, 1945. Both men were dead before that date rolled around.

Agree completely. Rush is getting far too cute with this.

Once the Dems settle on the nominee, every media cannon will be aimed at McCain. The Democrats will heal their wounds in plenty of time before the convention, let alone November.

Every day that passes with Hillary still in the race is a bad day for the USA.
