Were they commenting on the same speech? Rev. Jeremiah Wright goes before the Detroit NAACP, claims that black and white children learn with different parts of their brain, and offers a simpering, unflattering imitation of the way white pastors speak. CNN's Soledad O'Brien gushes that the speech was a "home run" and "really funny."

Soledad just confirmed her choice for president in 08n ot that I’m shocked or surprised. Obama is having a very bad morning, despite CNN’s and MSNBC’s blatant attempts to minimize the damage Rev Wright has/is inflicting on their candidate. Go Mac!

Soledad O’Brien got her start as a tech reporter...she’s totally unqualified for “serious” journalism, except for the fact that she’s quite cute. She’s not exactly the sharpest spork in the drawer.

If I understand correctly what I heard on the radio this morning, someone from the Obama campaign has gotten a PR firm pro bono for Wright to trot out a kinder, gentler message. So Obama and Wright are working together on this. I guess since Wright could not be silenced, they at least got a PR firm to manage his message. He wins publicity. I watched some of the speech last night and was appalled. I heard Steve Brown (at the scene) later on Fox saying that the Obama campaign must be pleased because the speech was typical church sermon type rhetoric. Ahm, no. If Fox is going to provide commentary, they need to select someone who knows something about what goes on in healthy churches.

But as far as Reverend Wright is concerned, it was a great speech from his perspective. It was a home-run, not just to the 10,000 people attending. But I think it really got across the Reverend Wright who he thinks he is and how he wants to be defined. Hitler had great speeches too. Though I'll have to look them up to see if he mentioned that different races had their brains wired differently. I suppose he probably did.
I bet Osama is happy his Rev Wright retired. This could be much, much worse for him.

The link to the video, in the story, doesn’t play the Wright video, it plays Jody Miller on News Busted, which is funny, but not the Wright thing.

I was a little surprised to learn that this
multi-cult dream-girl is not in fact named for the notorious
Soledad Brothers. Her full name is María de la Soledad Teresa O'Brien. She was born in 1966, four years before the Soledad case, which among other things resulted in the kidnapping and murder of judge Harold Haley by "political activists" (see link) seeking the release of the "brothers." The "activists" were themselves killed as well.

Question — at the press club, will he be asked questions from members of the media?
Question II — what are the odds that someone will ask him how his the-us-created-aids-to-kill-blacks statement was taken out of context?

My friend’s dad was seriously harmed in that shooting by the Soledad Brothers. He was the DA in that courtroom. And not all activists died — some like Obama’s other buddy, the Weather Underground, were given prestigious teaching positions, and are alive and on the stage of continual activism, as we post: Angela Davis.

Fox News, OTOH. . .seems to have nailed it 'just right'; and Juan Williams cut through the Reverend's stuff as with a hot knife against butter.
Meantime, think Hillary is having some champagne with her breakfast.

That would have been Gary Thomas. The shooting wasn't by the "brothers" themselves but by sympathizers. I was wrong in asserting that all three of the terrorists ("activists") were killed, one survived.
The communist agitator Angela Davis owned the shotgun the terrorists used to kill the judge. She was acquitted at trial, possibly because of jury contamination resulting from a massive campaign by the communist party and collaborationist media for her release.
Davis is currently professor of Professor of History of Consciousness at the University of California and Presidential Chair at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Obama has propelled the Reverend into his greatest moment.
Rev. Wright is the iceberg; and just finished the final tear into Obama's ship, this morning per his 'Press Club' appearance.
Too late smart for Obama. He has only to 'attempt to bail' and wait. . .

Fox info babes are very intelligent and much hotter than the CNN skanks.
I was disappointed to see yesterday that Julie Banderas has a boyfriend though. She showed him off as her date to the Washington Press dinner.

FWIW, Santa Cruz is one of the worst U's throughout CA. Kids who've gone there told me they went there because their grades weren't good enough to get in anywhere else. Besides, at Santa Cruz they really don't have to study. They are mostly graded on their "participation".
Some years back Glynn Custred and Richard Ferrier did an indepth study about academic subjects at Santa Cruz U. At that time, students were given a grade for their "vibrancy". No joke, and I still have the report.
Santa Cruz is the embodiment of "Vibes Guru" Howard Dean.

Yes, it was a home run, for the GOP. He could not of done worse if he tried. That sort of arrogant, pompous self rightousness is NOT going to play well in “bitter” small town America

After listening to some of his speech last night, and most of the one this morning, I think this chump believes he and his theology is on the verge of some enormous change or movement. He is nothing beyond many other self absorbed leaders in the black community. He does harm to race relations in this country, and plenty of damage to blacks in general. Every one of his ideas is nothing more than an excuse for what's wrong in many black areas...drug consumption, drug sales, gangs, unchecked breeding of welfare recipients, keeping it real(whatever that means), etc. To him there's no right and wrong commonality with all human beings, just differences. And I guess I'm just not smart enough to see how he justifies the lengthy stream of contradictions in his speeches. They are all over the place.
Obama has to be grimacing this morning, and wondering what could've been.

. . .as for 'church-sermon' type rhetoric. . .that is precisely the sound and cadence of Barak's 'great speaking'.
Fox is all over Wright's appearance this morning at Press Club. . .a frikin disaster; and Obama apparently has yet to respond. (Of course, he will need time to carefully plot his much-needed strategy - one beyond, bailing the water out of his sinking boat.)
Am wondering if he will even admit to having seen it this morning.

Loved it when he offered that he was willing to be 'Vice President'. . .and for the question that he was not at Obama's announcement for President; 'that was Obama's political moment'; Wright explains. . .but he WAS there; 'he was downstairs, doing his 'Pastor thing'; 'ministering in prayer; with Obama/wife and family'(!) before his anouncement.
So much for Obama's 'distancing'. . .so much for the 'rest of his life' at this point.
