Wright says criticism is attack on black church Apr 28 09:25 AM US/Eastern By NEDRA PICKLER Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON (AP) - The Rev. Jeremiah Wright says criticism surrounding his fiery sermons is an attack on the black church.
Barack Obama's longtime pastor says he hopes the controversy will have a positive outcome and spark an honest dialogue about race in America. Wright says black church traditions are still "invisible" to many Americans, as they have been throughout the country's history.
Wright spoke at the National Press Club Monday morning before the Washington press corps and a supportive audience of black church leaders beginning a two-day symposium.

If only I had a tiny fragment of his humility . . .

Is Karl Marx black church tradition?
His system is all about oppressed people and those who oppress them.
I didn’t catch all his message but the current term in vogue is “privilege.”
The whites have “privilege” and the non-white don’t have “privilege.”

Just keep digging, Rev. Wright. There’s plenty of dirt under you.
BTW, when my ancestors came to America about a hundred years, they couldn’t speak English, did not know anything about the culture, but they assimilated. And they became prosperous and fine Americans.
Rev. Wright is trying to say that America still owes something to black Americans. As long as black folk think that, many will never achieve anything: they will languish in public housing, and kill each other over dope.
Meanwhile, Rev. Wright is doing so poorly, he’s moving into a gated, 98% white community outside of Chicago.
The man is a charlatan.
The Reverend Minister Farrakhan.
Reverend Wright...keep talking...don’t stop...please
I heard that statement just before I turned the TV off.
Wright is playing the race card again.
Someone on FoxNews this morning speculated that Wright was actually trying to sink Obama’s run for the White House. The reasoning: A Black president (Obama) would mess up Wright’s position as a Black activist.
[I’m not sure I buy that. Wright’s ego is as big as Obama’s. Each has his forum, and neither is going to relinquish it easily.]
I got news for you, Wright, you hate mongering, race bating garbage.
Over 360,00 dead American white men already gave you all the apology you shall ever see from me and mine, with another 275,000 injured.
YOU owe them an apology...big time.
As to Japan...no apology necessary there either.
We stopped the war by killing a hundred and thirty thousand with those bombs, and avoided a single American casuality. If we had invaded Japan, which was the next step, then there would have been millions of Japanese dead...most at their own hand...and there would have been something on the order of 200,000 American casualities.
I THANK GOD Trumnan droipped those bombs and will apologize to no one for it...much less the likes of you.
God intended to establish a separate black and a white church?
Did he just brush off his shoulder?

Didn't take long for him to play the...
I can’t believe he played the race card. /s
Yeah, and a high yellow church between the two....Correct me if I am wrong. Race is not mentioned in the Bible, with the exception of where people came from Numidia, Palestine, Roman....

I'm told that top Obama adviser David Axelrod privately tried to help Trinity with its raging public relations problem by asking one of Chicago's top P.R. firms to go in and help the church deal with its P.R. mess. Axelrod confirms to me that amid the controversy, Trinity put out word that... |

Lessons from Jeremiah Wright:
1) All whites are racist
2) All blacks are innocent
3) Black hate crimes aren’t really hate crimes

His comments also imply that blacks are mentally very different from whites in music, speech and learning. MLK’s dream is fading fast.
With any luck, Rev. Wright will speak at the Democratic Convention (or, perhaps, be hired by one of the major networks) to remind us that America is a “damned” country and Obama is the Savior.
Well?
If I'd said it it would have been racist?
Ummmm, Rev Wrong, speaking for all of my ‘people’, it isn’t an attack on the black church. It is simply exposing you to the rest of the world as you are.
Excuse me, REVEREND, but the soldiers fighting today have volunteered for the military; they were not drafted. The people "avoiding military service" have simply not volunteered. The Reverend's statement makes no sense.
