I do recall some teachers like that when I was teaching HS (who acted like kids, not who had sex with the kids). I was always careful to have a clear line between me (the adult) and the students (not adults). Sometimes it’s tempting when you spend the whole day with teenagers to interact with them as peers, but you lose credibility when you do. We had fun, but I was in charge, and I was not their friend. (And on more than one occasion I told them so). It probably helped that I had already raised 3 boys by the time I started teaching.

that's because soooo many of them got to grade school middle school high school college then right back to high school of middle school with no contact with the real world. they never had a real job in the real world so they don't have to see themselves as grown up.

So, would it be acceptable for a male teacher to have sexual contact with a female student so long as he used contraception or limited it to oral contact?

You raise another important point wrt to pregnancy though. What if the female teacher was to get pregnant by a male student? If anything, it is even worse because he has even less control over what happens to the baby than the female, and will be liable for child support. This has actually happened to at least one male abuse victim that I know of...
