Reverend Wright has said his Piece.
Why cant the media and the campaign supporters, of every stripe, accept the fact that Jeremiah Wright has said his peace and now, its time to go on to other things? In defense of his own indefensible and crude remarks, he has told us that he quotes the General counsel for the Iraq war, Jesus and several other individuals of note including Luis Farrahan. The things he says are not unique to him they are representative of a higher order of thought, Black Liberation Theology, which is something that whites in this Country simply cant understand. Reverend Wright has said his Piece and he is free to do it again in this Country as long as there are those who care to listen.
Since Reverend Wrights ordination is in the Christian faith, regardless of Denomination, it would seem fitting that his main thrust would remain in keeping with his commitment to that faith. His primary assumption is that Black people have been treated with abuse and are therefore due special consideration; to include apologies and reparations for such neglect and mistreatment. Jesus said (Mat 5:39 NIV) But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. Never did He preach a doctrine of victim hood. Reverend Wright has the right to say these things and we, as Americans, Christians or otherwise, have the right to evaluate him for saying his piece. Statements of this nature are not in keeping with any part of the Christian faith. With this example as well as a plethora of others, it could well be said that Reverend Wright has sold out his faith as well as the election opportunities for his friend, Obama.
Hillary has her fingerprints all over this most recent act of sabotage handed to Obama. Not only did a Hillary enthusiast, Barbara Reynolds, a member of the National Press Club help to organize the Wright event but the guilt by association crescendo was been perfected by Hillary long before anyone even thought about Obama. Obama has been hit with both barrels. Can anyone remember Web Hubbel and a host of characters brought into play by the Clintons? After getting hoodwinked by these members of the Clintons dirt brigade, America began paying attention to who associated with who. Obama is just the most recent point of focus for this, now traditional, smear tactic.
Let Reverend Wright spew his filth. He has, by his own words, discredited himself more than anyone ever could have. He says Luis Farrahan is not his enemy. Luis Farrahan is the enemy of people who love this Country. He says G*Damn America and this alone is enough to give us the full measure of his loyalty. Why should anyone be shocked at any further tirade? We as a people should understand that this is both the result as well as the process of the far left agenda. We need to grant this man the grace he has never shown to others. Now that hes said his piece, its time for America to realize that the enemy really is within. As far as Obama, he needs to speak his piece as well. Lets hope he is man of higher quality than those he associates with and calls friend.
...and despite Obama's denials and distancing today, since his ties to Wright are so deep and long standing, this also leads one to look into what Wright actually teaches, his ideology and theology, and what Obama has listened to for the last 20 years.
Wright teaches Black Liberation Theology that was the creation of the black radical James Hal Cone, who took the Latin American Liberation Theology that had been created by Marxists to lure poor catholics into their "revolution" (because they knew their totally Godless marxism would not work), and revamped it for blacks in America.
This theology teaches that Christ was an oppressed black man living under whitey rule (the Romans) who was as much or more of a social revolutionary against white oppression as he was about spiritual salvation. In this sense, the theology is much closer to what the Islamics teach about Christ than what true Christians teach about Him.
It is a hate-filled, bigoted, anti-American, race bating, marxist construct. Here is what it's creator, James Hal Cone, says about it, the same James Hal Cone who Wright constantly refers to and holds up as an icon:
"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."This then is the trough from which Barack Hussein Obama has fed and the well from which he has drunk deeply for the past 20+ years.
THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY AND OBAMA'S CHURCH
THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - OBAMA'S CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AND SUPPORT
THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA
What smear?
When Rev. Wright said, “God d*mn America”, Obama was OK with Wright. But once Rev. Wright had the audacity to call Obama a politician, then finally Obama disowned Rev. Wright.
Rev. Wright gives good video.
I repectfully disagree. We should be more vigilant and beat the drum louder. The persons who expose this should be honored for being truth tellers. I am never in favor of silencing the truth teller. Whether it’s exposing republicans or democrats.
These are difficult days America is living in and we should have zero tolerance for just moving on, when we need to stay the course and expose everything to the light.
The light bulb just went off in Obama’s head? He now realizes Wright is whack?...L.O.L.
One question Wright sidestepped, but never noted, is whether Obama regularly attended the church. A double edged sword for Obama.
If Obama is not a hypocrite he would have stopped attending 3 or 4 years ago when he became rich. He would not need to “cling” to religion anymore.
“Pinky? Are you pondering what I am pondering?...”
Did Wright intentionally call the lightening down on himself, to get Obama out from under?
“NARF!”
Obama pretends to be shocked and disappointed by things he claims he recently realized about Wright in somewhat the same way that Hillary pretended to be devastated by the 1998(?) realization that Bill really was actually screwing lots of other women and had been doing so for years.
“As far as Obama, he needs to speak his piece as well. Lets hope he is man of higher quality than those he associates with and calls friend.”
Ahhh, water seeks it’s own level, you are gauged by the friends you keep.
If your 12 year old son started hanging around crack dealers, would you be okay with that?
I hope not, well Obama is in the same boat but was too stupid to think first.
Yes, at least you know where you stand with McCain.
But the MSM and his adorers, who were beginning to waiver, will eat it up and talk about how he himself, the Almighty Obama is willing to be the first to change when necessary...even if it is hard. That's the way they will spin this...but it will not wash with most Americans.
Obama knew all about this. He went to that church and contributed heavily to it for 20+ years. He himself believes this stuff. he knew that most Americans would not want any part of it so he would not even allow Wright to offer the prayer to open his campiagn...instead, he took him ointo the basement and had him offer the prayer there.
That teels you that Obama believes in the man...but also wants to hide his true colors.
Obama is still working out his identity. He really went to far against Wright, talking about “he’s not the man I knew 20 years ago.” So what? That’s only important for his conversion story in his autobiography. He also says a lot, “people who know me know” instead of “I know” what Obama is really about.
obamama says he doesn't agree with some of the Bullfrog's words - but the remains in the church - time to question him on those tenets - like “We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain “true to our native land,” - Africa
Is that why, obamama, you don't salute the American flag?
Is that why you have stated the goal of rebuilding Africa? and are you going to do that with our tax money you save by your other intention - to dismantle our military?
Time to switch the focus on his church - the Rev Wrong has pointed the way...let him wiggle out of that
Is it “speak your piece” or “speak your peace” ? The article contains both.
Is it “speak your piece” or “speak your peace” ? The article contains both.
Hey A CA Guy, that was good.
You know I got up this morning thinking, ‘I think wright is starting to wear on the people, maybe we should just move on to something else’. But the more I thought about it, the American people need to see wright for what he is. They are smart enough and can come to their own conclusions after they’ve listened to more than just snippets he accused us all of listening to.
We can all thank wright for his advice. We’re getting the full context and it’s worse than any snippets we’ve read or heard, so yes, we need to hear what wright has to say and see that he is no different from other false prophets before him.
Obama is no victim of Hillary or Wright.
"Ive said, as I said on Bill Moyers, when Louis Farrakhan speaks, its like E.F. Hutton speaks, all black America listens. Whether they agree with him or not, they listen.
Now, I am not going to put down Louis Farrakhan anymore than Mandela would put down Fidel Castro. Do you remember that Ted Koppel show, where Ted wanted Mandela to put down Castro because Castro was our enemy? And he said, 'You dont tell me who my enemies are. You dont tell me who my friends are.' Louis Farrakhan is not my enemy. He did not put me in chains. He did not put me in slavery. And he didnt make me this color.":

Obama the Savior/"transformer"

Louis Farrakhan, at the annual Saviours' Day celebration in Chicago, Feb. 25, 2008: "This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better"..."If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed."

Louis Farrakhan, at the Millions More Movement rally in DC, Oct 15, 2005: "...what Mao Tse Tung did was, he went to the cultural community, and they [Farrakhan spreads his arms beneficently] accepted his idea."..."Mao Tse Tung ... had a billion people whose lives he had to transform."..."the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people, and China became a world power on the base of the culture and the arts community. The media love to set people against each other. They see this as a wonderful opportunity to get Whites to say something for which they can be accused of racism, and for blacks to soak in self pity and blame Whitey for all their problems.
Some reporter puke needs to go to Wright and ask if he has recently come to his Black Liberation theological standing, or for many years.
And then follow up by asking if he had conversations with BHO about those views or not.
Wright will speak again.
And I hope a media person will ask him questions that Wright is well-experienced to answer:
“Rev. Wright, do you agree with Obama’s statement about clinging to religion?”
“Rev. Wright, isn’t it true Obama rarely came to regular church services? Did he ever?”
For being so smart he acting really dumb.
I Timothy 6:3-5
"If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain."
Verdict - Obama is not black enough. He may have understood black people but he did not understand black leaders. The Clintons can wash their hands and blame it on Wright and Sharpton.
The Mendacity of Audacity
That’s a great tagline you have there GourmetDan.
Wright is irrelevent. What is relevent is for Obama to step and tell us why this man was chosen to be his spritual mentor.
That would be great if only they'd explain to their readers what BLT really is. And I doubt they'll ever do that.

In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obamas pastor in a heated interview about his Churchs teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"...
Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

"God Damn America, U.S. to Blame for 9/11"
--Rev Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor and spiritual advisor 'crazy uncle' for twenty years

Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr:
"In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just 'disappeared' as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns."

Mendacity, mendacity,
it makes the world go ‘round;
A politician makes a speech,
but never hears a sound.
The campaign trail winds on and on,
in towns from coast to coast;
The winner ain’t the one who’s straight,
but he who lies the most!

Actually it could be
The winner ain’t the one who’s great.
Heh. Here we see Hillary preparing a trap for Bre'r Barack - the inextricable problem of Jeremiah Wright.
She knows better than to fall for the old "briar patch" trick, too.
Meanwhile, Bre'r McCain... he lay low, and don' say nuffin!
Excellent point, ES. Obama may have understood black people but he did not, and probably still does not, understand black leaders.

It's twue! It's twue!
His ears are bigger!
This typical white person understands BLT perfectly. It's hate, plain and simple, all dressed up with fancy words in an attempt to justify itself. Higher order of thought my pootootie !
Going to Wright’s church was a political move more than a spiritual move IMO.
