The powers that be have decreed that homosexuality and all its variations are normal, and woe to anyone who dares question this alternate lifestyle. Homosexuality has been added to the list of topics, along with race and global warming, that is off limits for discussion. The debate has been declared over.
Homosexuality, which not very long ago was defined as a “disorder” in medical journals, is well on its way to becoming a lifestyle option. Despite the fact that it is based on a premise which has been thoroughly discredited.
The normalization of homosexuality has its genesis in 1948, when Alfred Kinsey published the first ever study of male human sexuality. Entitled the Kinsey Report, this research involved illegal sexual experimentation on several hundred young children. It was based on a non–representative group of Americans — including hundreds of sex offenders, prostitutes, prison inmates and exhibitionists. This research purported to show that infants and children are sexual beings and could enjoy and benefit from sexual activity, especially with adults. Kinsey’s research has never been duplicated or verified. Indeed, if someone tried, they would be jailed for child abuse. No matter.
Fast forward 60 years. This debunked research still serves as the official sex education doctrine in the United States and has been adopted as the foundation of modern “sex science.”

But I strongly believe it is nature’s way of controling the human species. Randomly selecting males and females that will not seek the opposite mate to reproduce.

It’s ironic that a society which has relatively little problem with government dictating “health issues” like smoking in public and trans-fats served at restaurants has deemed any discouragement of an extremely risky “sex practice” to be strictly verboten.

While it is not the 'end of the world' (yet anyway), it would be nice if they had a new rating for TV shows that specified if there was homosexual sexual situations. Just the regular 'sexual content' warning doesn't cut it any more.

Homophobic denotes an unrealistic fear (see phobia) of homosexuals. I do not believe that I am homophobic; I just like like them. What they do in private is their business. However, homosexual behavior is a public health issue; HIV (which has NEVER been seen to morph into AIDs), hepititis, and a miriad of other health problems is twice a deadly as cigarette smoking.
I wonder! Is second hand homosexual sex twice as deadly as second hand smoke? Probably much more.

And they can say anything they like about it being “normal”, but the basic building block of society is the family. And promoting the “lifestyle” does nothing to further the family unit. Just my two-cents-worth, of course.

Homosexuals need to keep in mind, however, that the good news of the gospel is not about how God despises same-sex sexual relationships. In fact, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 indicates that certain members of that church had been slaves to such relationships but had been cleansed in Jesus' name. So these former homosexual had evidently repented and accepted God's grace to straighten their lives out.

I ask them if there is ration behind the Girl scouts not allowing men to be troop leaders and take girls out camping. They generally say they can understand such rules. I then ask why it is then irrational to keep men that are sexually attracted to males from doing the same with young boys, aka, the US Boy Scouts. I love to watch their heads spin out of control.

You can’t say something is wrong if you’ve ever done something wrong - which is only a cover for their juvenile desire for an “anything goes” society.
Yeah, I get tired of their obsession with hypocrisy. “How can I tell my kid not to use drugs if I did them?” Because you want your kids to avoid repeating your mistakes, perhaps? It sounds even sillier if you say something like, “How can I tell my kids not to drink and drive since I struck and killed a guy while under the influence?”
Like I said, the only reason they are obsessed with hypocrisy is that they desire a consequence free anything goes society.
I fully plan on making sure my kids know that certain behaviors are WRONG (even if I did them when I was young).

I fully endorse the concept that you will experience no harm in your life AS A RESULT OF following the 10 commandments. They are for our protection and good life as much as they are to show obedience to God.
The term “homophobia” is a bastardized Franken-word used to silence those who oppose the `gay agenda’.
For one, it is cobbled out of both slang and Greek. `Homo’ meaning `gay’ (a hijacked word itself!), and phobia meaning `irrational fear’. Therefore, the term means “fear of homo’s”.
But if parsed correctly, with `homos’ meaning “the same”, and `phobos’ connoting “fear”, then “homophobia” logically should mean “irrational fear of those who possess the same attributes as oneself.”
Therefore I’m not homophobic, which means I have absolutely no fear of other God-fearing heterosexual conservative gun owning FReepers!

I profess to having family (extended) members who are gay. They are the most giving people to society of anyone I know. They are both private individuals. One is closeted in they way he has never acted upon his stereotypical gay 'status' and lives quite a lonely life out of taking care of older family members. That is where he defines his self worth.
He told me recently of an older member of his family who molested family members (male and females) and how this professional corporate "straight acting" man has effected the lives of those in his immediate family, plus being molested himself when he was a child by his grandfather. One of his sons has committed suicide as he married and lived with what we suspect the urges of abuse and wanted to protect his family whom he cared for and loved deeply. He was damaged goods. Much of this was before there were professionals to address their feelings. There is much shame and pain felt by gays in this scenario. He has made the choice not to act on what you determine is a deviant behavior and gives of himself to aid society for the good which defines his happiness. He says he misses a partner in life but has decided to remain alone. Upstanding, a source of support to all he encounters and a productive member of society.
I care for him as I do the rest of my family. I was shocked by his recent story of someone who seemed even friendly to me as a kid...had molested his close and extended family and traveled the world for a well known private company. I can only cringe at the abuse he (now deceased) had inflicted on innocents of the world.
Those family members that are gay (one with long term partner -over 20 years) and the other (not wanting to shame his immediate family) are two of the closet family members that I am in constant contact with.
I would stand up for them against any homophobic A-hole. Guess that would make me unpopular here, but the later is not important to me, my family is. This is just a web of conflict for all involved.
I am sorry if what I have written seems confusing in content, it is actually difficult to address. Perhaps others here also have friends and or family members who are gay and have only love for them.
