WASHINGTON -- The U.S. intelligence community, in an about-face from an assessment of less than a year ago, has concluded that Syria was close to becoming a nuclear power.
"In the course of a year after they got full up they would have produced enough plutonium for one or two weapons," CIA director Michael Hayden said.
The new assessment was that Syria was weeks away from operating a North Korean-built plutonium production plant near the Turkish border. That facility, the intelligence community assessed, could have procuced up to two bombs in the first year of operation...
Didn’t Ms. Peolsi say that the road to peace in the middle east was through Damascus, just before or after she made that trip to see Mr. Assad?

I find the utter lack of concrete information on this facility the most disturbing part of this story. I think the Israeli’s prevented something very bad from happening in the very near future.
Such might well implicate the Russians or Chinese, which would be huge news. If they were so close as to paint the site, I suspect they know who is providing the technical assistance besides NK.
Remember: it was North Korea that first provided technical trainers to Hezbollah. That definitely implicates the Russians in that loop.
The Israelis did the world yet another huge favor by taking it out.

I figure the fuel was already there. There was a NK “cement” shipment onboard an NK ship in the harbor ready to unload. The bombs dropped, and the ship left port.

She was going to fix the ME but first she finishes up the job of stoppings the ‘outrageous’ $2.25/gal gas ‘gouging’. She’s been 2 years on that case.
This tells us Iran will never be allowed to have the N-Bomb.....matter of time before we or the Israelis take out their nuke program.
