London Guardian: McCain accused of accepting improper donations from Rothschilds
Guardian ^ | Apr 29 2008 | Daniel Nasaw

A US campaign watchdog has accused presumptive Republican president nominee John McCain of violating election laws by accepting campaign contributions from two prominent Londoners. At issue is a fundraising luncheon held in March at London's Spencer House, during McCain's swing through the United Kingdom. An invitation to the event lists Lord Rothschild and Nathaniel Rothschild as hosts, and indicates the event was made possible with their "kind permission". Judicial Watch, a Washington organisation instrumental in the March release of Hillary Clinton's White House schedules, has asked US election monitors to investigate whether the Rothschilds improperly sponsored the fundraiser. US political campaigns are forbidden from accepting contributions from foreign nationals. "The question is whether or not the Rothschilds paid for the event, the venue, the catering, or any other related costs," said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. Tickets to the event cost $1,000 to $2,300, and the luncheon dress code was "lounge suits," the Washington Post reported in March. The McCain campaign did not immediately return a call seeking comment. Judicial Watch also complained to the US election authority, the federal election commission, about Elton John's involvement in Clinton's campaign. The group alleged the British rocker broke US campaign laws by performing at a fundraiser for the New York senator. The Clinton campaign argued US law allowed the British musician to volunteer his time and solicit Americans for contributions. The federal election commission is unlikely to act soon on the group's McCain complaint. It is currently short-handed, a result of a political squabble between the Democratic-led senate and the Bush administration, and lacks a quorum to take action.

Rothschild and McCain...not surprising at all...isn't it a crime to accept campaign donation from foreigners? McPain was raising money in the UK during his overseas trip not too long ago.

Osama Obama is in George Soro's pocket...Hitlery is on the payroll of Chicoms and Arabs....McPain is on the payroll of Rothschilds. Absolutely worthless candidates!

A British taboid publishes this and you conclude that he should withdraw? Interesting logic there David.

Rothschild donating to McCain? I guess our National Debt will expand until we are in receivership.

Buh bye sovereign nation. Buh bye. Brought to you by the “Front Runner”, who we voted for, “because he can win”.

Yeah, well, I’ll wait to hear from another more reputable source than the Guardian, before taking this as gospel.

That should be enough, it's from the Washington Post - biased, sure, but not prone to making stuff like this up http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/03/14/mccain_invites_fundraisers_to.html

What I was talking about was the breathlessness and desire for scandal from the Guardian. As far as I can tell, there is no law against someone from another country giving a lunch or dinner in honor of a person, even if that person is a candidate for President.

Only a nutcase would refuse to understand that the money people hold all the strings, the power and the influence. It’s not really sinister..it’s just a fact of life.

He raised presidential campaign money overseas.

It is as clear as that.

Case closed.

It cannot be debated.

I took Dennis Kucinich apart on this FR forum four years ago for doing the very same thing here in Japan, in violation of Federal Election Laws (it is archived).

I don't care if Democrats or Republicans do this, it is unethical and at times illegal. I would expect this from a McCain (or an Obama or a Clinton for that matter). Three sides to the same shi*ty coin.

Of course there is no conspiracy! No conspiracy for open borders....no conspiracy to dumb down education....no conspiracy for world government....no conspiracy for moral decline. If not, then how come the gubmint officials never make any right decisions? You think, even if they are stupid, they would make some good decisions half the time, just considering probability. Everything the gubmint does is bad. How come we can drill for oil here when there is plenty? Didn't the gubmint see the consequence of bio-fuel driving up food prices?

I don't believe in the boogie man. I do however believe there are a lot of very powerful individuals who play 'God' for sport.

Boredom is intolerable when you have the world at your disposal.

Those who play the game get everyone caught up in their global power chess moves. This is what makes the idea of an ultra elite seem sinister to so many.

When you think about the original intent of the so-called Illuminati...their goal was to establish themselves as the ultimate power on earth which is in direct conflict to almost every Religious belief there is and resembles anti-religious views more in the marxist, humanist or atheist totalitarian vein of thought. The idea that anyone of the true Jewish or Christian faiths would embrace such ideas is illogical.

"How come we can drill for oil here when there is plenty? Didn't the gubmint see the consequence of bio-fuel driving up food prices?"

We support global stability by paying at the pump. Think of it as an overpriced insurance policy. Iran's oil will be drying up soon. All the people dependent on oil money in that region of the northern Middle East would starve without oil revenue if we drill before the Mideast has an alternative way of supporting themselves ( total bleeding heart socialists everyone?...not really, read on).

East Asia, the Saudis, Brussels and Israel would have all those starving people knocking down their door and there would be complete unrest. If there is any conspiracy..it's the socialists, Free capitalists and Opec that are cooperating to propel the development of the Middle East. The only thing they don't agree on is how the whole thing will look when it is done.

And that's my two cents.

Ok, fair enough. It’s unlikely that the mainstream media in the US will make a scandal out of this, especially since the Rothschilds are involved.
