By Liz Sidoti - INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Sen. Barack Obama scolded Democratic rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton today for saying that the United States would "totally obliterate" Iran if it attacks Israel, and likened her to President Bush. Clinton stood by her comment.
The foreign policy dustup came as the two candidates appeared separately on dueling news shows and as the drawn-out fight for the Democratic nomination grew ever more fierce ahead of the next pivotal pair of primaries, in Indiana and North Carolina on Tuesday.
Seeking the advantage, Obama seized on Clinton's recent answer when asked what she would do if she wins the White House and Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons.
"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran," Clinton said April 22 in an interview with ABC. "In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."
On Wednesday, Iran strongly condemned Clinton for her remarks. Iran's deputy U.N. ambassador, Mehdi Danesh-Yazdi, called her comment "provocative, unwarranted and irresponsible" and "a flagrant violation" of the U.N. Charter.

An Obama would talk to the Iranians....Perhaps he might even disavow the Iranians if they did it again.

Well then, one must assume Obama would do nothing if Iran launched a nuclear attack on Israel, because that is the context of the question.

The Moveon types who are angry at Clinton are not telling us what they would personally want to be done with Iran in case they used nuclear bombs on Israel.
Note that Clinton’s plan to “obliterate” Iran is on the condition that they use nukes on Israel.
She’s lying anyhow. She despises the military.
But Hillary, wouldn’t there be innocent civilian deaths? Or do innocent civilian deaths only pertain to any war that President Bush advocates?
The question also is, what would Obama do if we were attacked? What would he have done after the 9/11 attacks? Talk to the Taliban and Al Qaeda? Would he launch nuclear missiles if we were under attack by a foreign nation? No Leftist DemonRat can be trusted to defend this country.
What a great question on her long slime trail across America.
Obama said he wouldn’t wear the pin. When he thought it wouldn’t matter, he disrespected the flag and the national anthem.
And he kept attending a church that blamed America for 9/11, condemned Israel and also blamed Israel for 9/11.
I think we can tell where his loyalties don’t lie.

When will he stand up as a man and ....oh crap...he is a globalist...open borders..mexamericanada...texas will have a mexican highway running through to canada..mexican embassies are in individual states ..Do we have that in guatamala? Among today's leftist Democrats, that's true.
But as I recall, the only American President to authorize a nuclear attack on another country was Democrat Harry Truman.
And during the Cuban Missile Crisis, arguably the closest we've come to dealing with a live nuclear situation, it was Democrat JFK in the Oval Office who faced down the USSR.
None of today's Democrats would be fit to polish the shoes of either of those old-time Dems, of course. By today's Dem reckoning, those old guys would be classed as conservatives.

Actually he negotiated. He agreed to remove US missiles from Turkey, which was the equivalet of Russian missiles in Cuba. That would be a tit for tat candy assed response. In addition, because he is a great negotiator, he threw in a promise that the US would never attack Cuba. That invited wars all over the southern hemisphere (Angola, Nicaragua, etc...) As Cuban troops poped up in every Socialist hellhole in South America and Africa.
For all his faults, Bush would have made those sites dissapear after fortifying Guantanamo.
Just a question....The Tehran Hostage crisis and China forcing our Orion NSA plane to the ground and stealing our technology and capabilities. Do you think that would have happened with Bush at the helm? Strenth and the projection of that strenth has many advantages.

Hillary and Irene are rivals to win the romantic affections of Hillary's aide Huma.

Maybe. I have become frustrated trying to predict what GWB will do in a given situation. You could be right.

Again, hard to say. He has shown strength in some ways, but has been disappointing in others. I don't care to argue about it; I won't disagree that he would have handled those things differently.
