For some reason right now I’m not getting this through youtube. I’ll get back to it later though. Thanks

I almost forgot what a great voice Andy Williams had.
Nice neckerchief, too! ;0)
Okay, I’m really out of here now.
Night night FReeps.

One of my all-time favorites - - I probably still have the original S&G 45 up in the attic. Thanks for posting that link. Andy Williams is another of my favorites and hearing him sing along with Art can’t be beat. Great stuff.

By the way, allow me to return the favor with one of my favorite ballads from when I was a kid. Going back 40 years here.... (40 friggin years!) This one should be played LOUD.

I just downloaded this song off of iTunes two days ago!
Coincidence....?
I think not. It's the ghost of Coltrane...

There's really no one quite like Coltrane these days.
Redman and Carter are good, but they really can't replicate the vitality of his sound.

He was so authentic. So tasteful. So sweet. So rich and soulful. Like the weight of the world rested on his shoulders and it was OK.

Someone in
Time recently described his sound as "slightly undercooked" and that just struck me as a near perfect description.
"Undercooked" yet it just works. He had great chemistry with McCoy Tyner and Elvin Jones. Hell, he had great chemistry with just about everyone.
You can't say that about all musicians.

Coltrane recorded one album of ballads with a singer, Johnny Hartman. "John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman" is considered an all-time jazz classic. Here is one of the six songs on that album

I heard Elvin say that playing with Coltrane reminded him of being in Church and listening to his father pray. He was probably speaking on tongues!
