Aid workers fear Burma cyclone deaths will top 50,000
Lord have mercy.
So is Kanye West going to go on nation TV and say that Bush does not like people from Myanmar?
Because I am sure that it his fault some how...
This is extremely tragic regardless of the precise death toll. However, I am told that sometimes aid workers tend to inflate the numbers in order to maximize international aid contributions.
Yknow. 50% of people in this country (those who voted Gore and Kerry and will vote Hillary Obama) would be bitching about the govt not giving them enough help/aid/assistance/free-cheese even if we had a full-on communist govt.
I suppose that's the nicest thing I can say about them. Though they probably won't say much bad about the commies over there who won't let the USS aircraft carriers provide emergency relief.
i’m still googling for “aid from Myanmar for Katrina victims”
And while you're there go ahead and google "actual international disaster aid from OPEC countries".
Somebody PLEASE let me know what plan of action Iran, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia and Palestine are taking against this tragedy.
God bless Laura Bush for standing up for those poor people in Burma!

Tsunamis, earthquakes, cyclones. What does Allah have against this area?
“Tsunamis, earthquakes, cyclones. What does Allah have against this area?”
Since 89 percent of Myanmar is Buddhist, I’d guess they don’t think Allah figures too heavily in this.
Needs repeating.
He's from the Denver area and lived in Texas before moving to Thailand to work in that area.
Really good guy.
