'Don't speak Spanish can't get the job?'
When San Bernardino High School teens Jazanique Jackson, Ashanae Brown and Kimyen Hawkins decided they wanted to work this summer, they left nothing to chance.
They knew the rules: plan ahead; role play; be positive; adapt; relate and encourage. So when they hit the streets to start their summer job search they were prepared for virtually every eventuality except one.
¿No habla ingles? Can't speak Spanish.

The kids should sue and force all of the businesses to prove they did all they could to ensure the workers were legal.
Entitlement, in this context, means “not entitled, but getting it nevertheless”.
There are a couple of local places I don’t go anymore simply because I cannot communicate with the counter help. I am somewhat hard of hearing, and by the time I try to listen carefully (most people mumble I have discovered!) and decipher the heavily accented, broken English (or blank stares) my level of frustration is way higher than it needs to be.

“And a lot of the comments are just making fun of how black people talk. Gee. I wonder why so many people think Republicans are racists.”
Get ready for the “You’re a humorless Obama-loving liberal!” comments.
Believe me, if this was about white kids not being able to get a job because they don’t speak Spanish, the tone would be very different.
You would think they would come over given how they’ve been screwed by open borders.
Perhaps they realize all of them are liars, and would rather just pick the liar that is “one of their own”.
Looking at it that way, I just don’t see it happening.
“Bilingual preferred” affects all groups adversely-not just black teens. It happens in every sector. While I can see the practicality of some businesses in some areas preferring bilingual employees, the concept is also a screaming example of discrimination in hiring, and should be treated as such.
Why isn't Jessie Jackson out in front of one of these businesses?
The store that brings you everything cheap at your expense.
I know when I first started job hunting here in S. FL many of the jobs required bilingual folk. I didn’t even apply, since I don’t speak enough Spanish to consider myself bilingual. But, this affects everyone, it would seem.

You made a sweeping generalization about what black people will "always" do. Your comment (#15)was not a positive one and has been expunged. But you seem to think you're the good guy and I am out of line. Have a nice day.
Because Jessie would like to have, as followers, illegal aliens and their offspring.

This is just another attempt by the activists to show that they "care" about blacks in the unlikely event that they will join the anti-illegal movement. They aint gonna be joining us Crackahs on this or any other issue anytime soon.
That’s the way it is in California. I was in Northern Cal this weekend in a town called Morgan Hill. Stopped at McD’s, and we were the only white family in the restaurant at the time. Everyone was speaking Spanish— employees and customers. It’s like that a lot in the farming towns. I live in a farming town, so I’m used to it.
However, I was in Davis earlier in the weekend, and I didn’t see very many Latino folks, even though it’s a farm community. There seemed to be different crops there, requiring less manual labor, so I surmised that might be a reason.
Agreed! And these same fools--with their heads up their a#$es--will likely wonder how their country was taken from them.
