U.S. may punish nations that refuse their ex-cons
Austin-American Statesman ^ | 5-6-2008 | Eunice Moscoso

The United States is facing a major obstacle in its efforts to deport thousands of illegal immigrants, including many convicted felons: Their home countries don't want them back.

This does not sit well with Sen. Arlen Specter, a veteran Republican lawmaker and ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Specter was stunned at the situation after touring several prisons in his home state of Pennsylvania, where taxpayer dollars are paying to house foreigners who have served their sentences but could not be deported. In response, he drafted legislation that would punish countries that refuse to take back illegal immigrants.

"There is an enormous problem of public safety, which is slightly under the radar screen," Specter said.

He noted that once convicted felons serve their sentences in the U.S., they can be held for only six months before they are released into the general public.

Specter's measure was recently introduced in the Senate and the House.

The proposed legislation would require the Department of Homeland Security to report to Congress every 90 days on the countries that refuse repatriation. Those nations would automatically be denied all immigrant visas until they take their citizens back. The measure would also deny certain foreign aid to the countries.

As of February, at least eight countries were refusing to take back 139,000 illegal immigrants the U.S. has ordered deported, according to Specter's office: Vietnam, Jamaica, China, India, Ethiopia, Laos, Eritrea and Iran. They include 18,000 convicted felons.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said he supports the idea of punishing nations that refuse to take back illegal immigrants but has not read the specifics of Specter's legislation.

There's a real simple answer to this one.

Give them parachutes and drop them by air.

He'll be back on the RINO train in a moment or two.

Toss in no "tourist" or "student" visas as well!

But what did we do wrong to make these hard working immigrants who were just trying to make a better life for their families go bad? (sarc)

Better answer - any foreign flagged air carrier flying to the US *must* take any unwanted citizens back to their country or they will NOT be allowed in.

Now, they will not be displacing paying passengers - but any empty seats are to be occupied by deportees.

Also, any foreign flagged ships must also accept their citizens, or they will not be allowed to dock.

We should work out an arrangement where they are housed in their own coutries instead of here. We could pay their home country 10% of the cost to house them here.

Good for Specter. Occasionally he gets one right, and when he does, I will give him credit for it.

How about if we arrange for a 3d-party nation, say, Zimbabwe, to take them? We can negotiate $10 head and drop them off.

immigrant criminals ask for new trials all the time with the excuse their public defender “forgot” to warn them they could be deported if they plead guilty.

The question is,
which country is Specter trying to shake down for campaign contributions through 3rd party surrogates?

My solution: Line ‘em up and shoot ‘em. Why should we have to keep the rest of the world’s trash?

Or perhaps we should announce to the world that if an illegal alien breaks the law, any law, it’s an automatic death sentence? If it didn’t discourage them from coming in the first place it would, at least, be a way to get rid of them.

"We should work out an arrangement where they are housed in their own coutries instead of here. We could pay their home country 10% of the cost to house them here. "

Why should we pay anything? They're not OUR citizens.

Give the country of origin 30 days to come and get them, or block any and all trade, communication, and/or travel to and from the offending country until the situation is rectified.

Very small parachutes (2 feet wide or so) could be very cheap when purchased in large quantities.

Charge them with a capital crime (it does not matter what). Their home countries will suddenly be very interested in getting the felon back to the home country to avoid the death penalty. Deport the felon to the home country and then drop the charges.

Yup!

Posted at 980x980 !!!

"Buy It Now" (for $9.95 plus shipping/handling) at eBay

Perfect designer headwear attire for the remaining primaries and up thru the November general election - and well beyond!

I'm looking for Rush Limbaugh's official copyrighted "Operation Chaos" ball caps - I believe they may be sold out

Obama's campaign staff blames "Operation Chaos" for a 7% vote in Hillary's favor in Indiana!

She won 51%-49%

So Obama claims Rush Limbaugh took away a solid 56%-44% win for him in Indiana

The North Carolina 17% spread win for Obama will disappear into the dust in November as 27%+ of democrats for Hillary say they will vote for John McCain -

And North Carolina democrat primaries are meaningess in a solid "Red State" anyway

Another big problemo for Obama and the democrats is the November general election will be monitored by the FBI - and 75% of male blacks over the age of 19 have a criminal felony conviction record - many with a prison record - which makes it illegal for them to vote in elections uness the Governor of the state reinstates their voting rights after they officially apply (RARE!)

I'm still looking for TV vidcaps of Barack Hussein Obama (Junior!) play basketball in a gray "USMC" t-shirt on April 25th, 2008

So Obama is attempting to con the voters by simply putting on a gray United States Marine Corps t-shirt? Obama who refuses to wear an America Flag lapel pin and resuse to salute when the National Anthem is played? (see: "Harkin Steak Fry")

GOOGLE Searches produce nothing but photo websites for copyrighted (and watermarked) photographs of Obama that NOW require a password to enter their photo galleries

TV vidcaps of Obama have been shown on FNC, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS - a vidcap - cropped and resized - would not be subject to copyright laws or enforcement

NBC - owned by GE/General Electric - is still today doing business in Iran - providing materials and technoledgy that is killing our US military troops in Iraq and Afghanistan every day

Before you buy any appliance or other product or service from GE - think about the traitors at GE, NBC, and MSNBC - and "shop wisely" - elsewhere!

Otherwise your dollars will be funding the killing of American troops by Iran -

When more light is cast on GE's greedy criminal and traitorous acts for blood money - expect GE stocks to rapidly tank!

Another possible tip:

Sell Yahoo! short Buy Microsoft

She isn’t going to quit, has already used over 11 million of her own money!
