A special interest program assembled by the Human Rights Campaign to promote homosexuality has been launched in the 91-school Minneapolis district, even as opponents are urging school officials to keep sexuality out of the social culture.
"The government should promote and encourage strong families," said Austin R. Nimocks, a senior counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund. "When school officials have to choose between protecting children in those families or furthering the homosexual agenda, the choice is obvious: protecting our children comes first."
The issue is the "Welcoming Schools" program assembled by the HRC, which advocates for and promotes homosexuality.
District spokesman Ross Bennett told WND the program already has been launched in one school and was under consideration by the district's curriculum committee for other uses.
He said he knew of one principal in one school who had requested help because of "bullying" that he believed was focused on sexual orientation issues, and the district considers the HRC promotional program another tool for teachers and administrators to use.
He said the district's existing anti-bullying program could not be called inadequate, but "there's always room for improvement."
The ADF's comments accompanied a legal memo to the district advising officials of the true intent of the HRC promotion.
"HRC says the program is designed to stop bullying, even though its true intent is to promote the homosexual agenda," Nimocks said. "If HRC merely cared about bullying, they would simply endorse the school district's vigorous 'Bullying and Hazing Policy.'"

Actually promoting homosexuality in the schools now just plain evil. Its way beyond tolerance, its now a demand that everyone conform to the gay agenda. Tolerance it seems is no longer good enough, in fact it’s not even offered to people like me who believe homosexuality is abnormal, destructive, and should’t be encouraged by the government.
If the govt. starts trying to shove this crap down our throats it’s time to overthrow this govt.

Some of us tried to tell the libertarian types a few years ago that “tolerance” for homosexuality would soon lead to homosexuals harnessing government power to suppress anyone who disagreed with them. We were accused of being the “American Taliban”. I notice a lot of those people are very silent now.
The Human Rights Commission (each state has an office)is a leftist wet dream created by the influence of same. It routinely follows a hard-left agenda and espouses just such nonsense as the article cites. I deal with these idiots on a regular basis in my job, because my company represents many of those parties who are on the receiving end of HRC’s rabid attacks.

The Taliban were fascists. The real fascists are those who want to use government to control what we think, say, and believe. The gay activists are doing just that, but wrapping it in a veneer of “tolerance”. And it always seems to focus on the children, doesn’t it?

I agree with you. It should be kept out of the schools & thats why my 8 yr old daughter isn’t going back to her school next year. I think the school needs to teach & let parents handle what they want their children to know about sex & the gay agenda. 2nd & 3rd graders do not need to be told Heather has 2 mommies or Billy has 2 daddies. Nor do they need to be reading books on gay subjects. You try to stop it & they come down on you saying gay rights bs. I liked it much better when they were in the closet!

That's the point of all the gun control. Then we won't be able to fight back when we need to.
Unarm the populace, brainwash them at the local indoctrination centers paid for with the people's own money, and in a generation or so, the takeover is complete without firing a shot.
The quickest thing to do is if your children are in the public schools, get them out. Don’t go back in the fall, and plan and read about your options over the summer. Then do it. Private, homeschool, find a way to get the children out of the fascist indoctrination centers.
After that is done across this nation, then maybe the powers in this country will know that the time is not yet for them to move forward on this. But without a mass exit from the fascist controlled tax payer funded prisons, I do not think anything will be done. The best that can be hoped for is a continuing defensive action, and that will slowly lose ground. Just like smokers.

I’m all for stopping bullying. But that can be done without indoctrination, which is clearly the goal of this program and its supporters.
Romans 1:25-27 tells us that same-sex sexual relationships are a consequence of idolatry. In other words, such relationships are a consequence of disobeying the 1ST COMMANDMENT, a major aspect of the GREATEST COMMANDMENT, to love the jealous God with all your being.
Homosexuals need to keep in mind, however, that the good news of the gospel is not about how God despises same-sex sexual relationships. In fact, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 indicates that certain members of that church had been slaves to such relationships but had been cleansed in Jesus' name. So these former homosexuals had evidently repented and accepted God's grace to straighten their lives out.

That’s just wrong. BSA is, in fact, a stalwart in holding the line against the gay agenda. You might make up something more likely...say, oh, some Protestant youth group or maybe the Teletubbies, Girl Scouts or whatever.
