Wasn’t JC on yesterday?
I thought I heard his interview on the way home last night. He sounded rather defensive of Barack Obama, and didn’t think the Rev. Wright and Wm. Ayers stuff should be associated with him.
To: rightwingintelligentsia
That was on his web page, maybe it’s old.

I had the exact same thoughts as you re:J C Watts. I rather liked him when he was in office, met him several times at various campaign functions. He seems defensive of Obamama and then even said he defended himself to those who questioned how he could be African American and Republican by saying he didn't always agree with Republicans and brought it up.
Has JC gone soft since being out of office? Was there more to his leaving office than meets the eye I wonder? (i.e. did Party higher ups decide JC was no longer “worth” it?)

I was actually wondering whether he’s letting race trump ideology in this case.
I do recally, however, that when JC quit it was rumored that the party elites thought he was somehow not up to par.

I think race may be a factor. Who knows who he hangs with now (I kid I kid). I think part of the Rev. Wright thing for JC hinges on his own personal religious life. He is a really religious fellow and is probably uncomfortable with coming between “a pastor and a follower” as he’s said several times too.
He seems hostile towards John McCain though. One interview, Hannity was attempting to get JC to defend McCain, and he really seemed indifferent, almost saying, Let McCain defend himself. Seems like some underlying “issues” there.

I have two friends that are from Michigan. They moved to Illinois to get away for the economic nightmare that is happening in Michigan.
The guy said the follow, i don’t want a Republican in the WH, we need a RAT to fix things. I almost died.
I thought to myself, he wants the dems to do what they did to Michigan to the whole country.

People in Michigan blame the Republicans and the President because the car industry has suffered due to unions, bad products, outsourcing, and failure to advance technologically. Of course, it was the Republicans and President Bush himself, who oversaw that this occurred. I know, I sat in on the conference call.

Libs never figure out the correlation between their own idiotic policies and the economic problems they cause. And then they move somewhere else and try to recreate the same conditions.

*L* True, True. I’ll never buy anything other than a Toyota (except my Corvette) again. I love my Toyota’s. Smooth, safe, great gas mileage, and sturdy. None of those described my only American made Ford POS. :)
