Interesting article and and even more interesting revelations. It goes a long ways in confirming some of my (nagging) suspicions about my government. So thanks for the posted item and for broadening my intellectual horizons. Goes a long way in explaining things.
So 8 years in you’re going to say that 2m is impossible at the end of the century.
Heck, if you asked someone in 1932 or so, they’d probably think 10k by the end of the century was insane too.

We’re hearing here in California, that some central valley farmers are discing under the head lettuce crop that was supposed to ship to New York and the east coast. Too expensive to ship now.
Tree fruit will be the next produce to fail to be harvested due to shipping costs.
