"They should’ve at least conducted interviews to determine who should be examined."

And what (aside from your prejudiced attitude) makes you think that they did not do so?

It's already fallen. It happened so incrementally, though, that some folks didn't notice any difference.

But it's "for the children," so there's no need to worry.

coming to a religion near you soon

Body Of Christ.
Amen!

now where'd I put that cell phone...

Yep. Child protection services does not have the same legal standards that criminals get. Parents have NO rights in their courts. Period. It has ALWAYS been this way.

They can and have taken children away from parents FOR ANY REASON THEY WANT!!

Now the UN has already has documents saying that Christianity is a mental disorder and is child abuse.

Christians will be targeted. It is only a matter of time.
It is the reason they were targeted from the beginning.

We dare to not bow to the God of Government. Remember Daniel?
That time is coming, again.

They also don’t like the fact that they believe the male is the head of the household, and that they’ve never seen television.. OMG, how do they live? /sarc

""The sky is falling!"

Yes, but it seldom falls precipitously but rather in drips and drabs so as not to be noticed.

I can see separating fLDS kids from parents based upon their “belief system”. Scientology too. Seven Day Adventist are a little strange. Definitely Muslims. Hindus too. Some, if not all Souther Baptist are whacked. Those Hari Krishna orange robes are a fashion disaster, so their kids have to be protected. And Mormons, well their beliefs are over the top. Catholics are definably a cult. And I’m sure we can all agree on what to do with the Buddhist kids. Evangelicals sometimes speak in tongues, and handle snakes.

And of course, clearly, anything done for children is now tainted by the phrase, so we had better stop doing anything that might preserve THEIR rights....

Having a religious cult that needs the rape of young women as part of your groups reason for existence darn well better draw the attention of law enforcement and the citizens, or else this country is not worth living in.

That's a problem with net fishing.

No the problem is old men raping little girls and claiming they are doing it for god. "SICK PERVERTS"

The answer ignored the question - how do you establish age, without records?

Do you know how to read and use a search engine. Education is a wonderful thing.

For a hint, you may start with teeth growth.

Oh, another ad hominem - that certainly adds weight to your position.

If you are an idiot.

Ever heard of variance? For those of you who have not, let me explain - variance in human growth patterns is WIDE.

Real wide. Astoundingly so.

Compare, for instance, Korean grouth patterns today, vs. those of 1960.

If you can use a search engine and read. I rather doubt it.

Funny how these threads start out every day, do not attack the poster - and you immediately attack the poster.

Since the women refuse to identify their own children, they should have NO say regarding the disposition of the children. The children are, in effect, abandoned by their parents.

I suspect the FLDS will abandon the children. To claim the kids puts them in jeopardy of rape, abuse, & abandonment charges. In the minds of these cultists, the children are expendable & easily replaced. Oh, & the men really enjoy the replacing part.

I believe it was a mistake to have the hearing for the group as a whole. The current group hearing gives the FLDS the advantage of strength thru unity. Divide & conquer is the key to unraveling this mess.

Without doing any DNA tests, the agency should have brought the youngest baby before the judge. The judge could have asked for BOTH the parents to step forward & identify themselves. If no one steps forward, the baby is abandoned. If someone claims the child, DNA tests can be done to verify this, & the process of determining if rape or abuse has occurred can go forward.

A few cases like above will convince the FLDS they cannot win, & their silence will be shattered. There is bound to be at least one mother that cannot bear to lose her child.

Would you like to discuss this like adults, or just attack each other like Democrats?

What test can establish an age difference, from 16 to 17, based on any metric you care to name?

If one wishes to prosecute somebody for statutory rape, shouldn’t on be required to establish that the victim was underage?

Is that not a conservative principle?

Ad hominems from you, and your friends, will be ignored.

There are some sick perverts, Warren being the chief. He is doing prison time in Utah. Hopefully, any of them who left Utah to rape girls in Texas will do prison time in Texas! Of course, that's no excuse for taking the children of parents who are not involved in those crimes. As for those that are....git a rope!

Our government can now take people away based on their “belief system”?

No nor did it. The Deseret news is Al Jazeera for polygamist LDS groups. Look at their take on all news of the FLDS compound for the last few weeks, and compare what they write to all the other sources.

Did not attack the poster, age determination will be establish by a jury of twelve after the facts are given. However your effort is to say there are no acceptable facts. Teeth growth patterns have long been used to establish a reasonable age bracket. And the growth pattern of a Korean, are anyone else for that matter has no impact upon teeth development as to age of the individual.

That’s the problem or the problem as has been reported. What child belongs to what mother and what father. So far the parent child relationship seems to be one that couldn’t be established. The stories changed, names changed, etc until no one with the State was sure which child belonged to which female/male.

At some point in the future as the service plans get finalized and the relationships get established some, most or none of the children maybe returned. That time frame will lie somewhere out 12 to 18 months from when all this begun. So be it and such is life.

That's irrelevant to protecting the children. If you know which children are suspected of being abused, you take them. When you find out who the perps are, you arrest them. The rest of the families are being victimized by the incompentance of the CPS and the courts. Hopefully, that will be remedied with time.

Which adults in the compound are not at least an accesory to a crime TheDon? The children are in protective custody during an investigation. We as a society do not yet know who is who - so we quite properly moved to protect the children. How do you propose who is who BEFORE performing an investigation? That is the situation here after all.
