Estonian authorities have slapped a flatulence tax on farmers to compensate the country for the methane gas produced by cows.
Farmers this week received their first 'fart tax' demands asking them to pay for the greenhouse gases their cattle produce.

What you bet that if McCain becomes President he will try some of the same nonsense given that he believes the science around the Global Warming scam is settled and he also wants to institute a Carbon Cap-and-Trade system here in the US?
Any takers?
Think he is dumb enough?

You can’t make this stuff up. Amazing. If such a tax were applied to humans, I know a couple of people who will go broke.

This shows the logic of global warming. While the Estonian bovine fart tax is ridiculous, it's no more ridiculous than the cult of global warming.

And I had been hearing about what a great job the Estonians had been doing recently in bringing about a competitive market economy...

How do they measure how much your cows are flatulating?

Nothing governments love more than opportunity for new revenue enhancements...Exactly. And that is all this is. Global warming is not happening, the tax won't stop methane production by natural organic means--in cows or elsewhere, and it only takes from the productive to fuel government.

That has to be on the list of the Worst Jobs in the World, somewhere below being Keith Olbermann's shrink or married to Ted Kennedy.
Why is it when this article mentioned cow flatulence I automatically thought of Al Gore?
