The head of U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign refused to concede Sunday that she has no chance to win the Democratic presidential nomination.
Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press," Terry McCauliffe said it is still possible for Clinton to win the nomination, even though most pundits have concluded that she cannot overtake her rival, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, to become the Democratic Party nominee.
"Look, tomorrow -- something new could happen," said McCauliffe. "Nothing's impossible. You are talking to Terry McAuliffe. I don't believe anything in life is impossible."
McAuliffe argued that Clinton would be a stronger candidate than Obama against Sen. John McCain, the likely Republican nominee. He said she would beat McCain in Florida, a major swing state.
Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., who endorsed Obama after abandoning his own presidential campaign, said he expects Clinton and her supporters to rally behind Obama if and when Obama when he becomes the nominee.
"This is not 1968 when we were highly divided, racial tensions in the country, the anti-war movement, Democrats split over those issues," Dodd said. "The difference between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on substantive issues is rather narrow."
Indeed. The clintoons have resurrected themselves from political certain death in the past time and time again.
Never underestimate the clintoons.
Is everything Mc says as truthful as that statement? Apparently not.
This morning, Terry McAuliffe had Tim Russert's dad in the grave on Meet the Press:
Link to video:
MR. McAULIFFE: Absolutely. We will be together. This is--we're in a primary, we're both trying to win the nomination. But it's not impossible for Hillary Clinton to win. A lot of people have said that. Big Russ, if he were sitting here today, nothing's impossible . Jack McAuliffe, if he were with us today, they both-- they're probably both in heaven right now, Tim, probably having a scotch , looking down and saying, you know what, this fight goes on."
Thankfully, the elder Mr. Russert is alive and doing fine.
Point well taken.
I’ve read, several times, that McCauliffe is some kind of parasitic, symbiotic life form that will die of neglect and horror the exact moment that a Clintstone loses a political campaign.
What Hillary will never get through her thick head is that a lot of votes went to Obama were anti-Hillary votes.
She'll never get over losing the nomination to a BLACK man...After all, she's the wife of the first black president. I hope the blacks realize how they've been used "for their vote" all these years.
I she steals the nomination, as the clinton machine is apt to do, then
Denver will burn. Chicago’68 will look like VFW picnic.
Jus wait an see!
It is possible that Hillary has some major dirt on Obama. There’s the white guy who states that he gave Obama a hose job in a limo, but that guy flunked the lie detector test. What else could it be? Rezko?
“... said McCauliffe. “Nothing’s impossible. You are talking to Terry McAuliffe. I don’t believe anything in life is impossible.”
OH ?.....Monica ?.....Impossible !
Foster ?...Impossible !
Run out of weed ?.....Impossible
You go Hillary! Heeheee...
Well if you turned a $ 100,000 investment in Global Crossing into an $ 18 million payout before the stock crashed and burned, you’d think anything in life was possible, too! /s/
Note to Obama: Make sure your campaign pilot preflights the craft 2x!
All Her Thighness needs is for Right Reverend Wright to give another of his “special” sermons, and Barak Hussien’s Super Delegates could start having second thoughts. They can change their minds back and forth between now and the convention...
Absolutely within the Evil Clinton mafia’s arsenal. No doubt at all in my mind.
“Now it’s on to Chicago and let’s win there!”
