Obama and the Liberals - Are they pathological liars that just don't care about the truth?
The Patriot Post ^ | 5/12/08 | Jack Kelly

“In his victory speech after the North Carolina primary, Sen. Barack Obama...[defended] his stated intent to meet with America’s enemies without preconditions...: ‘I trust the American people to understand that it is not weakness, but wisdom to talk not just to our friends, but to our enemies, like Roosevelt did, and Kennedy did, and Truman did.’ That he made this statement, and that it passed without comment by the journalists covering his speech indicates either breathtaking ignorance of history on the part of both, or deceit. I assume the Roosevelt to whom Sen. Obama referred is Franklin D. Roosevelt. Our enemies in World War II were Nazi Germany, headed by Adolf Hitler; fascist Italy, headed by Benito Mussolini, and militarist Japan, headed by Hideki Tojo. FDR talked directly with none of them before the outbreak of hostilities, and his policy once war began was unconditional surrender. FDR died before victory was achieved, and was succeeded by Harry Truman. Truman did not modify the policy of unconditional surrender. He ended that war not with negotiation, but with the atomic bomb. Harry Truman also was president when North Korea invaded South Korea in June, 1950. President Truman’s response was not to call up North Korean dictator Kim Il Sung for a chat. It was to send troops... History is an elective few liberals choose to take these days... The lack of historical knowledge among journalists is merely appalling. But in a presidential candidate it’s dangerous. As Sir Winston Churchill said: ‘Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it’.”

Obama will not be President. America is not (yet) ready for the quick demise that would be brought about by Hussein Obama.

Liberal = marxist. Marxists believe that the end justifies the means, so lying is OK.

“Obama will not be President. America is not (yet) ready for the quick demise that would be brought about by Hussein Obama.”

I’d like to believe that. But I’m not sure. I think it’s at least 50/50 right now Obama will be President.

I consider the kool-aid drinking retards on the left who care not one bit about the substance or lack thereof of Obama. These leftist morons are sold on his personality and will vote Obama regardless of what is uncovered about Obama’s anti-American friends.

Then I see those on the right who are throwing tantrums about McCain not being conservative enough, so they’ll sit it out. Somehow, they imagine Obama will have a bad run, but leave enough of America in place that it can be recovered. I seriously doubt that, an Obama presidency will change America forever, for the worse.

Some people don’t feel limited by the truth.

Agreed.

And it’s just one more thing they have in common with muslims.

I agree. This country is not ready for a racist President. In these times, we better find someone that is not power hungry but powerful when it comes to defending our beliefs at any cost. If it means war, so be it. But when this country goes to war in the future, we better go to war and get the job done and get it over with. Not pussy foot around.

Well that's supposed to be their day job, journaling things, not adding commentary. As long as they journal both sides of the story and keep their own opinions out of it I would be happy to subscribe to their content.

I agree. An Obama presidency has the potential to be permanently damaging when you factor in a Dem congress and a fawning media. He’ll have the leverage to turn this into a Marxist country.

The conservatives who sit this out or vote 3rd party will be largely to blame. They’ll rue the day.

There’s another possibility, a strong one, in fact, if he thinks those Presidents met with our enemies:

He’s a moron.

I like how Truman talked to our enemies.

Obama would be doing good to be as good a democrat as Truman.

Liberals look at every presidential election as “Which one of the cool people, the right people, the correct people will lead us?” That goes right along with fawning press coverage of the “horse race” among socialists. Our side never gets a fair hearing and we are saddled with candidates that are more liberal than not.

The assumption is liberal is good, liberal is right. It's societal insanity.

To people like them truth is subjective and situational morals rule the day. There is no right and wrong, no black and white, there is only grey.
