The raid today at Agriprocessors, Inc. meat packing plant targeted individuals who were using stolen Social Security numbers. Officials say at least 300 have been arrested but that the number could go as high as 700.
The raid was the largest of it's kind in Iowa according to Claude Arnold of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Darn it. They grabbed my wife, our seven kids, my three aunts and about 24 cousins. Now what will I do on Friday nights?
Electing a president who was serious about Border enforcement would have been another ‘message’. Alas, we have illegal alien coddlers instead.

It is worth noting a few things here:
1. Identity dealers prefer children's identities
2. Illegals need an identity (SSN) to work
3. Those who have used the stolen identity to work and get loans etc (victimizing citizens and children) would have been granted amnesty thanks to McCain-Kennedy
4. Legal immigrants, who don't engage in this crap and those standing in the awful visa lines (trying to come in legally) would be told "tough luck".
Nice set of incentives, if you ask me.

Good. Agriprocessors processes kosher meat and is notorious for their failure to use kosher methods for slaughter. They had a big scandal a few years ago because of this.
Shame upon them for their methods and shame on them for using illegals, which I'm sure they pay less then they would for using regular Iowa workers. I hope they prosecute the owners and managers to the fullest extent of the law.

I wondered how they kept their certification with that many illegals. False paperwork forged for the workers, same for the kosher cert, I suppose.
About freaking time they start enforcing the law.
They are very meticulous in their kashrus. The "not kosher" smear was perpetrated by the wonderful folks at PETA.
It’s not just the illegals. You can see them rip out animals tracheas on YouTube. That is not part of kosher practice.

Who made these videos? As I recall, no rabbis claimed Agri was negligent in kashrus, only PETA who couldn't care less about kashrus in any case.
Now, how long is it going to take some lawyer to file a class action lawsuit claiming that all former 'undocumented workers' who paid into SS with a false ID have a right to SS?
PETA isn’t the only group concerned about issues such as this. Personally, I don’t care who took the videos, I wouldn’t eat anything from this plant after seeing them.
I could point you to a number of sites that include interviews with people in the meat industry as well as rabbis and famous Jews who are incensed at the practices taped at Agriprocessors, but you’re a big girl, you look them up. I have a feeling you have another agenda going on here and I don’t want to get involved. No more with you on this topic.

I'm not going to do your research for you, but I can tell you this: there was never any problem with the kashrus at Agri. As I recall, PETA was shaking down Agri to give a six-figure salary to their "animal rights specialist" Temple Grandin.

If you pay attention, you would see that there have been numerous such raids on plants in several states.
The administration sent in the National Guard and now the Governors are asking for the term set to expire soon to be renewed. Meanwhile the Border Patrol says it is up to speed and has been trained on the military equipment and methods and calls for the National Guard service to end.
Lengthy sets of statistics were cited indicating large reduction in crossing and drug smuggling while there were very large increases in arrests and returns. There have been big changes in the last two years.

If we were clever, we would wait till they all came in, then we would all leave and take over all the territory they left. Logistically we would move fewer people.

The problem is plausible deniability. To get off scott free all they have to do is say, “Gee, they looked real to me.” There is no accountability or consequence for the employers as it is.
That’s why they have to use the RICO law. Under RICO the feds can freeze your assets as well as the companies’ assets just with the accusation. You then have to apply to the court for money to live, or pay a lawyer, or pay court filing fees to appeal, etc. (The Court can grant your request or refuse it.) And you have to prove your assets were not acquired with income from the crime you are accused of in order to get them back.
That’s how they get so many wise guys to plead out.
Turn a few of these criminals and their families into street people, living under a bridge and see what happens. They would only have to do it to the board and executives of one or two companies and top management of every company from the local grass cutting company to Exxon would be falling all over themselves to rid their companies of illegal aliens.
