A Muslim high school student's intolerance for a service dog needed by a student teacher with a disability has reportedly prompted the student teacher to abandon the last 10 hours of his scheduled assignment at Technical High School in St. Cloud, Minn.
The St. Cloud Times online said the situation developed with student teacher Tyler Hurd, 23, of Mahtomedi, who hopes to teach special education.
He's a student at St. Cloud State University, and was assigned to Technical High School in the St. Cloud district for his 50 hours of student teaching, and took with him his service dog, Emmitt.
The newspaper said Hurd needs a service dog because of a childhood injury that leaves him with seizures, sometimes happening as often as weekly. The black lab is trained to protect Hurd when he has a seizure.

There are precious few muslims in my part of Louisiana and they don’t make waves of any kind. That crap wouldn’t be tolerated for a nanosecond in these parts.

I sent an email to the school principal, vice principal and interim principal telling them they should have expelled the student responsible for the threat and that Tyler Hurd had, in my opinion, good grounds to initiate a suit under the ADA.
Told them I thought their response was weak and much more concerned about PC than doing what was right and shame on them. Told them they had no spine.
Needless to say, their response was less than kind. Meh.

If I remember correctly in some places it is against the law to threaten or harass a service animal. The handicapped student teacher should bring a complaint before the DOJ ADA division. The school should suspend or expel the student who threatened the service dog.

They are following the insane teachings of mohammed. Do not give in one inch to them ever. This dog story is a great example. Mo said dogs and pigs are unclean but you can have a dog for guarding and hunting only, if a dog licks a dish, you have to wash it 9 times. We aren’t as stupid as we are uneducated. Really who wants to learn about islam. But we need to, every government worker and everyone in the military should learn, know your enemy. I hated to do it but I gave up a lot of time, (family time, work time,) it is all craziness and dangerous, but they believe it and act accordingly. When teachers reinforce to muslim kids that dogs are unclean, like having them pet a dog with a sheet of paper, they are also reinforcing the kids belief that other humans (non-muslims)are unclean and should be abused, subjugated or killed. Legitimizing the simple beliefs of muslims is criminal to our culture, any culture I can’t believe they are let in, but there is no education, your right, its stupid!

Well, no, because I emptied my email late last night. I can tell you from memory that what the principal said in a nutshell was that it was obvious to him that I had already decided what to believe based on a newspaper article and that the shame should be on me.
