Jesse Jackson Wants To See Secret Service Files Racially, Sexually Explicit Emails Surfaced In Civil Rights Suit Filed By African-American Agents CHICAGO (CBS) The Secret Service is under fire for racist and sexist e-mails, including one aimed at Chicago's Rev. Jesse Jackson.

CBS station WBBM-TV's Chief Correspondent Jay Levine reports the e-mails were just released by the Secret Service as part of a long-running civil rights suit filed by African American agents. They contain racist and sexist jokes and pictures.

The one about the Rev. Jackson has now led to a demand for the release of any other insulting references to members of the Jackson family in Secret Service files.

Rev. Jackson's dealings with the Secret Service date back to his two campaigns for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 1980s. He actually asked for and was assigned protective details before other candidates back then.

The Secret Service e-mail, WBBM-TV obtained from a court filing in Washington, was titled "The Righteous Reverend," and jokes about the deaths of Jackson and his wife when a missile strikes their plane. The e-mail ends with, it "certainly wouldn't be a great loss and probably wouldn't be an accident either."

"This e-mail today tells me I have a lot less confidence in the secret Service than I did before it was exposed," said U.S. Rep Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.)

Okay, so - if as alleged - a few idiots in the Secret Service did this, does it really impugn the entire Secret Service??? This is what we are up against - liberals who have no sense of perspective or reality.

Just because they don’t like someone doesn’t mean they won’t do their job.

Besides, how many times have your fellow liberals joked in private scenarios about the death of President Bush (and sometimes in PUBLIC)?

Double-standard foolishness.

Someone explain to me how Dr. Martin Luther King's FBI files are still sealed 40 years after he was gunned down in Memphis, but these files on living people are supposed to be released to the public domain.

I'm asking not only as someone who respects the constitution but as an amateur historian who is probably more knowledgeable in the subject than many so-called professionals.

“...long-running civil rights suit filed by African American agents...”

LONG-running, eh?

Why does my wallet hurt?

Where does a European-American sign up for a civil rights suit?

My Italian immigrant grandparents were treated rudely upon their arrival in NYC early in the 20th century and it has had an adverse affect on me. No, I can’t point to anything specific, I just FEEL that way.....

Eddie Murphy as Jessie Jackson on SNL after the REVEREND Jackson referred to NYC as “Hymietown” (Hymie being a racist curse word for Jew, for those of you in Rio Linda).

Boy, talk about excerpting the most inflammatory part! Here's the first version of the joke which came up on a google search... it's told about any number of public officials (usually Hillary):

George W. Bush is visiting a primary school and he visits one of the classes. They are in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asks the President if he would like to lead the discussion of the word "tragedy."

So the illustrious leader asks the class for an example of a tragedy. One little boy stands up and offers: "If my best friend who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a runaway tractor comes along and knocks him dead, that would be a tragedy."

"No," says President Bush, "that would be an accident."

A little girl raises her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy."

"I'm afraid not," explains the exalted leader. "That's what we would call a great loss."

The room goes silent. No other children volunteer. President Bush searches the room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?"

Finally at the back of the room, little Johnny raises his hand. In a quiet voice he says: "If Air Force One carrying you was struck by a missile and blown to smithereens, that would be a tragedy."

"Fantastic!" exclaims President Bush, "That's right. And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?"

"Well," says the boy, "because it sure as hell wouldn't be a great loss and it probably wouldn't be an accident either."

“What’s worse, crass and racist jokes or a man whose gotten filthy rich in the grievance industry who promotes a chip-on-the shoulder mentality.”

Come now. There is NOTHING worse than racism...that is white racism of course, when the accusation is made by any perpetual chip-on-shoulder “person of color”. Oh, making moral judgments and a clear distinction between right and wrong, is certainly tied for first with racism. More menial offenses like murder and rape are a distant second at best.

Well. One thing you can always count on from the Left is a willful lack of “perspective”. Literally. They live in a one dimensional world, so to see things with “perspective” would threaten that world to come tumbling down. Yes, and it’s stuff like this, these
“slights” coming from a few disgruntled Secret Service agents ( who probably had good personal reason to be “anti-Jackson) that keep Jackson alive and in the news.(Hey, Jesse, remember “Hymie Town”? Should they let you set foot in NYC again?) These “incidents” constitute the predictable “filler” that they’ll always find and play to the hilt, while waiting for more dramatic scenarios to present themselves, like joining with “the Reverend Al” on some benighted pseudo-crusade or another(Jena, anyone?) or , even better, waiting for the all-important Obama campaign to
“reach out” finally and bequeath Jesse with some much-needed media face-time as he offers ( or offers again, in a louder voice) his endorsement.

It’s NOT Ok on either side or any side to make those kinds of jokes. Unfortunately, there will always be DOLTS on ALL sides who cannot stop those behaviors.

I sometimes wish they would all get together someplace and hash it out so the rest of us who want to get along and live in peace with each other could do just that.

There are no “sides” here. This is an old joke and jokes like this have been going around about public figures as long as we’ve had public figures.

Good find! So, that's the whole joke...

I do find it disturbing that Secret Service agents are emailing these jokes to each other at all. For example, suppose they had emailed the same joke as you pasted it above with the President as part of the joke. It doesn't matter who the joke is about. It's just not right being passed around the Secret Service. JMHO.

Then again, to put it into the proper perspective:

A Secret Service spokesperson says the 10 e-mails were discovered in a search of more than 20 million electronic documents over a 16-year period.

That's a very small number of email messages over a long period of time.

FGI: Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, House Judiciary Committee chairman, John Conyers and Jane Fonda, are several of many prominent signers of the "World Can't Wait--Drive Out the Bush Regime" initiative (see list of endorsers include--Conyers' endorsement appears right after Ward Churchill's). World Can't Wait--Drive Out the Bush Regime" is an "anti-war" front for the Revolutionary Communist Party. According to the then LA police commissioner, the RCP were largely responsible for 'triggering' the Rodney King riots where some 58 mostly innocent people were killed.

From the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party, parent org behind World Can't Wait--Drive Out the Bush Regime (rwor.org or revcom.us) , the RCP "Mission Statement":
"Create Public Opinion, Seize Power. We are preparing minds and organizing forces for the time when there is a major crack in the system, whenever it comes and wherever it comes from: an opening that makes it possible to bring the future Revolutionary Army of the Proletariat (R.A.P.) into the field and wage a revolutionary armed struggle that actually has a chance of winning. And we have said that building our party itself is the most important part of organizing forces for revolution. This is true now, and it is true looking forward to the creation of that future R.A.P. and the waging of that armed struggle. ":
http://revcom.us/a/v20/1000-1009/1000/barw.htm

And...

"Throughout its history, one of RCP's principal objectives has been to foment civil unrest in the United States. The most notable example of such efforts occurred on April 29, 1992, when RCP members looted and trashed the downtown and government districts of Los Angeles, triggering the infamous Rodney King riots. During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.

Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"

I was vehemently anti-klintoon when he was in office, but when he chose Je$$e Jack$on to counsel him after the Lewinski scandal I was apopletic. Even my klintoon-hater friends and family said I carried it to extreme.

I had no regrets though. I couldn't beleive that one absolute total POS was using another absolute total POS to try to make himself look better. It was the height of hipocracy to me and I was foam at the mouth angry at that whole insane fiasco.

And that was before I knew that Je$$e was counseling Bubba with his little #$%^ toy in tow.
