Attention West Virginia: Barack Just Gave You The Finger
The Uncommon Sense Blog ^ | 5/14/08 | Dan Taylor

"Barack Obama's failure to campaign in West Virginia past some stopping by appearances was not so much a gift to Hillary's campaign as it was a very calculated step to not show his lack of appeal to white blue collar workers. The roll over of 28 delegates to Hillary was an in your face statement that he's about to win as well as a middle finger to the residents of that state that after he wins he won't be needing them or visiting them. It is reverse racism masquerading as efficient politics.

I'm from West Virginia. I grew up there in towns like Williamson, Welch, Bluefield, and Princeton. I came back after the military to go to law school at West Virginia University. Most of my relatives still live there..."

Barack, who is Hussein and Mohammed, Obama is making fools of us all, and doing his best to make a fool of the United States of America, all the way down the campaign trail.

I am the one I have been waiting for...

...but I am the one who YOU are going to get.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH

“It is reverse racism...”

NO it is not!

It is racism, pure and simple.

Besides, West Virginia residents are just “typical white people”.

The 70% Mrs. Clinton won in West Virginia still does not approach the 95% Obama is typically winning in the African American community. We are going to hear endlessly about how West Virginia is a pit of seething racism in which no African American stands a chance, but nary a peep about how the African American vote is determined by skin color and skin color alone.

(Of course, West Virginia has been sending a Klansman to the US Senate for the past 40 years, so they may have a point!)

This isn't racism at all. It's elitism. Obama is too good for the unsophisticated neanderthals humble people of West Virginia. Hillary's there only because she needs the votes. Six months ago she was planning on spending the middle of May raising funds in Hollywood and San Francisco, not hanging out in bowling alleys campainging in West Virginia.

These die-hard Democrats, still convinced that the Democrat Party “is more for the pore man”, will vote for the Democrat even if he is a “yaller dog” - so Hillary’s argument that these people in various states who voted for her won’t vote for Obama won’t hold water.

There will be some yellow dogs, but if there is one thing that might stop some of them short, it’s a northern elitist black marxist.

So white, Democrat, West Virginians don’t want a black president. So what? At least they are being honest. More than I can say for a whole lot of people I’ve seen interviewed in every other state that’s had their primary or causus.

Of course.

The VAST majority of what is called racism is not truly racism by its pure definition of viewing one race SUPERIOR to another.

I was using the conventional terminology of the day, wrongheaded and ignorant as it is.

Now that TRUE definition of racism, is worth a long discussion, perhaps too politically incorrect even for FR.

I don't think it's the black thing. This is a Dim party state, and the blessings fall from on high... The Grand Kleegle on down!

I know this...at a time when Obama is supposedly the "presumptive" candidate, and when the superdelegates are quitting Clinton to go to Obama...a time when it should be apparent that the dems need to unite together under the one they believe will be the nominee...upwards of 70% of democratic voters in West Virginia said no.

The same type of thing is going to happen in Kentucky...irrespective of all the talking heads indicating that Obama should be the candidate.

...and I am glad to see it. Because both of them rely on a basis of marxism and collectivism and elitism for their political idoelogy. Either of them will be an absolute disaster for our Republic. (McCain will be less abject a disaster, but in many bways a disaster nonetheless with his immigration, environmental, and other non-conservative stances).

Just the same, Obama has unbelievably serious flaws (not the least of which is that he is rabidly anti-American when it comes to fundamental principles and ideology) and having the democrats fight it out and expose them right to the convention floor is the best thing that could happen.

Perhaps he just wanted to give them a break, instead of the finger, knowing he wouldn’t win there.

MAKE YOUR VOTE, COUNTRY FOLK
Tune: "Take Me Home, Country Roads" Original
By Winn Denver

Almost landslide, West Virginia
Numbers mountin', headin' on to Denver
Folks are white here, whiter than the sheets
That the early Byrd wore, blowin' in the breeze

Country folk, make your vote
For the race you belong
Mrs. Clinton, not Obama
Make your vote, country folk

All my prim'ries dare not end here
My election's set for this November
Dark and dusky stranger on the rise
Mustn't let him beat me, take away my prize

Country folk, make your vote
For the race you belong
Mrs. Clinton, not Obama
Make your vote, country folk

I hear your voice, in the evenin' hours you cheer me
This victory assures me that I'm queen for a day
And standin' on the stage
I get a feeling that this Wheeling's all the U.S.A.
U.S.A.

Country folk, make your vote
For the race you belong
Mrs. Clinton, not Obama
Make your vote, country folk . . .

I would love to hear Clinton’s comments on some of the places she toured. Some of the towns have been down and out for many decades. Not a pretty sight. If nothing else she did a good job of concealing her elitism.

Come November the NRA factor kicks in. It’s a whammy for either Clinton or Obama in WV. But for now the Dumicrats will flock to the show.

I am a born and raised West Virginian. The black poulation in this state is barely 3.5%. Obviously, you didn’t see the TV interviews. It was because he’s black and they said so.
