Six Minutes With Barack
Willamette Weeke ^ | 5/14/08 | James Pitkin

Posted on 05/14/2008 9:20:36 AM PDT by gridlock

The Democratic Presidential frontrunner talks timber payments, Gordon Smith and of course tattoos.

Sen. Barack Obama once remarked on the long odds of a “skinny guy from the South Side with a funny name” finding success in American politics.

How much more improbable then that Oregon—an overwhelmingly white state 1,700 miles from his Chicago home—could finally put the Illinois senator over the top this Tuesday, May 20, in his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

(snip)

WW: What’s the biggest difference between you and Hillary Clinton on an Oregon-specific issue?

Barack Obama: I don’t spend all my time reviewing Sen. Clinton’s positions. But I can talk to you about my positions on some issues that are very specific to Oregon. I think it’s important for a state to have the ability to make decisions about the siting of liquefied natural gas stations. I think it’s important for us to have a policy on county payments that is consistent and that allows for long-term planning for local communities, so they’re not scrambling to figure out do they have to lay off deputies from the county or do they have to close libraries.

(snip)

WW: Any irony that Oregon may put you over the top?

I don’t know how ironic it would be, but I would be thrilled by it happening, and I hope it does.

WW: If you had a tattoo, what would it be and where would you put it?

Uh, I cannot imagine any circumstances in which I would get a tattoo. If a gun was put to my head?

WW: Yes.

Then I suppose I’d have to have [his wife] Michelle’s name tattooed somewhere very discreet

Both WA and Oregon are Obama country because they think that Hillary is not far enough left. Her vote for the war in Iraq sealed her fate in those states.

Here is an interesting tidbit... Look at what Answering Islam says about tatoos

Are tattoos allowed in Islam?

No they are not. Let us look at what Prophet Muhammad peace be upon commanded:

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Yazid Al-Ansari: "The Prophet forbade robbery (taking away what belongs to others without their permission), and also forbade mutilation (or maiming) of bodies. (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Oppressions, Volume 3, Book 43, Number 654)"

...etc...

I agree with his reluctance to have a tattoo. I Disagree with it being his wife's name if he has to have one.

I also disagree with absolutely everything else the marxist POS stands for.

Other than that, well, lets just say that I'm not a fan.

Barack Obama: I don’t spend all my time reviewing Sen. Clinton’s positions.

In other words, Obama sees Hillary as old news and insignificant.

I have always said that if I ever got a tattoo, it would be a series of three of them on my bottom.

“Exit Only!”
“One Way Street!”
“Do Not Enter!”

Interesting. I would certainly never get a tattoo myself.

Traditional Christianity discourages pointless self-mutilation. “If thine arm offend thee, cut it off,” but that is meant to be an extreme circumstance, analogous to finding yourself caught in a trap with no other way out. You don’t cut it off for decorative purposes or vanity.

But Obama is NOT a traditional Christian, and I seriously doubt if he has ever heard of such matters. His church supports baby killing, and he agrees with that, so clearly he has no sense of the value of human life.

No, it is much more likely that he is recalling his Muslim training.

Does anyone know if republicans are allowed to crossover and create mischief in Oregon?

It would be delicious if Obama lost Oregon, after losing Indiana, West Virginia, and Kentucky.

"The Prophet forbade robbery (taking away what belongs to others without their permission), and also forbade mutilation (or maiming) of bodies.

Yet it's okay to rob Daniel Pearl of his most value possession--his life, by cutting off his head (the ultimate mutiliation.) Hypocrisy?

Not to be specious, but that certainly is no problem for them: Daniel Pearl was dhimmi and not sufficiently human to merit protection under shar’ia law.

Barack, who is Hussein and Mohammed, Obama is a marxist, anti-American, bigoted, individual who is the absolute apex of the domestic enemey movement within this country. His entire campaign is making fools of us all.

With the insane MSM- and cult-love-fest, might I suggest clipping his hair close to the scalp and looking for a group of oh, say, three 6's?

It's not allowed and most of us have voted already as we have mail in elections.

I don’t spend all my time reviewing Sen. Clinton’s positions.

Notice that when asked a reasonable & relevant question, this guy frequently responds with (paraphrased) "I haven't done EVERYTHING to EXHAUSTIVELY address the question, so it's OK that I and my extensive well-paid staff have done absolutely nothing at all to come up with even a vaguely reasonable answer to an expected question relevant to my would-be constituents."

Tattoos are not allowed in Christianity & Judaism either.

It’s allowed if we reregister as Dems.

I almost reregistered asa Dem to vote fro Obama, as I think Hitlery and the Clinton Crime Family would destroy this country far more than Obama.

I didn’t, though...at least this way I get to vote for some Pubbies in the primary.

I don’t know who I’ll vote for in the general for President...it won’t be McCain.

I will vote for Gordon Smith, though.

By the way, we picketed Bill Clinton yesterday, quite a lot of students at RCC came up to us and told us they were Pro-Life!
