There had been talk that Obama would choose Jim Webb as his running mate, although Webb recently stated he wasn’t interested.

Rasmussen also reports that McQueeg leads the Witch in Virginia, 47% to 41%. Not looking good for the Republicans.

The poll was probably taken before his stupid enviro whacko statement and before Bob Barr’s announcement.

Give it time. McCain can blow a lead that small in no time.

Hopefully, the DemocRATS will peak in the summer and Republicans will regain lost ground later this year.

Osama Hussein Obama would, more than likely, feel more comfortable with Osama Bin Laden as his running mate. After all, they want the same thing; destruction of America.

It’s more likely that the Rats will become more united after their convention and McCain will get much weaker after the DBM start their campaign of destruction on him.

VA has become bluer, but with all of the veterans there, I don’t see how McCain can lose.

I agree completely..The Democrats will put up a united front and the Republicans will still be throwing "hissy fits". Too many Republicans are thinking they can teach the party a lesson by slamming the candidate. THEY ARE SO WRONG!!

Wow, 2 anti-Semites on one ticket. And a majority of American Jews would schlep to the polls to vote for the piggies.

Webb is an anti-semite? He just strikes me as an loose cannon operating on two brain cells. He needs to be cream-pied like his mentor, George Soros./Just Asking - seoul62...........

In 1980, Ronald Reagan won nearly 40% of the Jewish vote. In 1972, Richard Nixon won a little more than that. There is the potential for McCain to do the same or even better if he plays his cards right.

He ran two Jew-baiting campaigns. First against his rodent opponent, and a second time against George Felix Allen. The man is a violent little Nazi pig vomit.

I’m no fan of McCain, but for any Jew who cares about Israel, to vote for Obama is like slicing their own throats.

Why am I not surprised the GOP is loosing ground in VA since the last two elections?

2000
Bush/Cheney 52.5%
Gore/Lieberman 44.4%

2004
Bush/Cheney 53.68%
Kerry/Edwards 45.48%

I like your summary, concise and to the point. You do not ramble on like me, hubby is always on my case about that. Why has not a major Jewish organization called the loose cannon out on this?/Just Asking - seoul62........

Hate to tell you none Virginia's, but I would say it is probably 50/50 as to mccain losing the state.

And there is suppose to be a senate race, but so far no one has seen the republican running, if there is one.

yep...escpecially here on FR...they apparently WANT to give the country to the likes of Obama.

But be of good faith, the primaries are all about name recognition and that’s what these polls are reflecting.

DJ, that is so true. A Barab Obama/Jim Webb ticket would be frightening. I don’t think it will actually happen, but that it’s even a possibility should send shudders.

I have a hunch that of the 9% not counted here, the large majority of them are conservatives who will either (1) reluctantly vote for McCain although they are not too thrilled with him now, (2) vote third party, or (3) not vote for president at all. If my hunch is correct, the McCain-Obama race would not be quite so close in VA. Of course, there's plenty of time left for things to change.

As for Webb as the 'Rat VP nominee, remember he has some racist baggage from the past, so that would be a big problem for them.

Snobama is probably going to pick a Governor, Strickland or Gilligan-Sebelius (the daughter of a former OH Socialist Governor) or perhaps Evan Bayh, who covers both bases of Senate and Governor. Although Bayh is still considered “too Conservative” by rodent activists because his record isn’t 100% pro-abort. I still might throw in Richardson, who would suck up to whichever candidate would get him the job, but Barry would have to be nuts to trust an ex-Clintonista who could just as easily help Ron Brown him. Richardson’s backstabbing of Hillary was jaw-droppingly breathtaking for its audaciousness. He makes the filthiest crack whore look like Mother Teresa.

I was thnking more Calypso Louie # 19, or Jesse Jackassason. Maybe Maxine “Muddy” Waters, John “Red” Conyers, Rosie O’Donnell, Alec Baldwin, Keyane West, 50 cent, Henry “The Worm” Waxman, Barbara “The Bull” Boxer, Sean “The Commie” Penn, Cindy “Hugo” Sheehan, Obama “Delusional” Girl and resurrect ole, Nat Turner.

This is my satire list, but Mochelle “Slap A Honkey” Obuma may be his ruining mate.

The perpetual running mate list for Osama Hussein “Hate Whitey” Obama and the beat goes on.

Just Words,

“Not looking good for the Republicans.”

McCain will not survive the MSM attacks prior to the general election.

The man is old, unstable, and not very bright.

The media will beat him mercilessly and he’ll be walking around in circles muttering “What happened?”.

He doesn’t understand that his “buddies” in the media never were his friend and never will be.

Those are the same veterans that put Jim Webb in the Senate. This vet won’t be voting McCain, at any rate.

“Too many Republicans are thinking they can teach the party a lesson by slamming the candidate.”

Did it ever occur to you that a lot of Republicans just don’t like him and think he’ll be a disaster as president?

The GOP is collectively too stupid to be taught any lesson. If they were capable of learning lessons we wouldn’t even be discussing McCain.

Glad your happy, “HappyinAZ”, but many of us are just disgusted beyond belief.
