Three Items: 1) The text of the letter is in the link 2) Very odd indeed that S&S dimed out a DoD person/organization. S&S is a DoD publication. Sounds like a vendetta to me. 3) America Supports You is prominently displayed on the FR homepage. It this organization has been involved with, what could be called, "nefarious activities by unethical leadership, then it should be considered whether FR should continue it's association with ASY.

Maybe Beaver is from Missouri. If I was got hosed by DoD, you bet I’d be writing my Senator. A letter from ANY senator to DoD “get’s their attention.”

Not sure what to think, but this passage caught my eye. It seems so...DomocratSpeak - Beaver wrote. "At a minimum, there is an appearance of impropriety by these officials."

Diane Beaver? A picture is required so the validity of her case may be assayed.

“DomocratSpeak”? Could be, but it sounds more like simple ol’fashioned “Lawyerspeak.”

appearance of impropriety Before Bill Clinton, appearance of impropriety was the standard of behavior voters expected of the men we put in power over us.

It’s the reason Dems have used to get Repubs to resign from office.
It does not apply to Dems, however.

Diane Beaver? Man, she must have had a tough time in school, ay? I believe Barry Obama, Jr. once referred to her as "Sweetie".

In the letter, obtained by Stars and Stripes, former AFIS General Counsel Diane Beaver accuses Allison Barber, deputy assistant secretary of defense for internal communications and public liaison, and acting Stripes publisher Max Lederer of violations regarding how America Supports You was funded and how money was spent.Okay, Ms. Beaver's going after Ms. Barber and somebody named Max. The whole thing sounds highly personal to me.

Diane Beaver? Man, she must have had a tough time in school, ay?It's probably why she hates anyone named Barber or Max.

Of course it’s personal! Besides the criminal allegations agaist Barber, Beaver charges that Barber created a hostile work environment and that she violated the Whistleblower Protection Act (Federal law).
It’s not just a “Ms. Barber.” She’s the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Internal Communications and Public Liaison. Not on the top level of the OSD food chain, but a personal Bush White House appointee and obviously powerful.

And, it’s not just “a Max.” Max Lederer is Chief Operating Officer for Stars and Stripes.

Lieutenant Colonel Diane Beaver was the lady that wrote some connection between Gitmo practices and 24 as a training tool.
