"Senate committee adds amnesty for 1.2 million illegal ag workers to Iraq spending bill -- PHONE NOW
DEAR FRIENDS,
On a 17-12 vote this afternoon, the Senate Appropriations Committee added Sen. Feinstein's ag amnesty to the Iraq supplemental spending bill.
This bill could come up for a vote before the full Senate tomorrow.
Every phone of every Senator should be ringing off the hook as soon as I click SEND on this alert.
Please pick up your phone the minute you read this and call: 202-224-3121
Call the offices of both of your state's U.S. Senators and tell them:
The Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday afternoon committed an outrageous act of disrespect for our men and women in uniform and to the citizens of this country by attaching an illegal-alien amnesty to the Iraq spending bill.
Urge the Senator to vote and work to strip the amnesty from the Iraq spending bill on the floor.
You - or the Senator - may already oppose this spending bill. But if the Senator is inclined to vote YES on the Iraq bill, ask the Senator to definitely vote NO and send it back to committee if the amnesty is NOT stripped.
There is no need for an amnesty to provide growers with workers. There already is an H-2A foreign ag worker program that provides growers with an unlimited number of temporary workers if the growers agree to pay a decent wage and ensure that they go home at the end of the season. Feinstein is just trying to protect the abysmally low wages and bad working conditions that farmworkers labor under.
Here are additional talking points (and the names of your two Senators, plus additional phone numbers):

Expect that many staffers will either have no idea what is going on or will be lying to you. Some of you were reporting to us that Sen. Feinstein's staffers were telling you that she had no intention of attaching an amnesty this afternoon at the precise time that the committee was voting on her proposal to attach!!!!!
Unless Senators see an outpouring of disgust and outrage similar to what you waged a year ago, they will interpret it to be safe to vote an amnesty this year.
Besides an estimated 1.2 million illegal alien ag workers, all the millions of illegal aliens in their families would apparently get an amnesty, also.
Good luck. You are the only force that stands between some semblance of the rule of law and massive rewards for illegal immigration."
THANKS,
Roy Beck
From an email I just received from NumbersUSA!
for your ping list please.
Feiny is my senator. Do you reckon I should phone her up to say “thanks”?
You couldn’t make this stuff up....
Instead they chose to bring in more field hands, lawnboys and bedwarmers.
Definitely a bunch of pimps and ho's in the Dem ranks these days.
Thanks....I’m a lousy searcher ;)
I’m sure McCain is opposed to this, remember he has said he heard the people loud and clear last year when Comprehensive Immigration Reform fell flat.. unfortunately, many did not..

Back Door Amnesty, via underhanded political pandering. Why is that these idiots can’t seem to understand that the American people want this kind of crap to come to a screeching halt?
What’s so difficult to understand about “build the fence” and “no amnesty for illegals”...?
Time to clean house.
I’m sorry, are you being serious? (sometimes it’s hard to tell). The only thing McCain admits to hearing was “secure the borders FIRST”. His position on giving amnesty hasn’t changed a bit, but he’s fooled a lot of people with his ‘I’ve heard the people loud and clear’ routine. He selectively hears what he wants to hear.
What an outrage. The Dems had a great day today trying to sabotage the war in Iraq in the House and border security in the Senate. Seditious A-hats.
Glad you posted, those of us with a daytime freeping blackout needed to see this. Thanks.

re: amnesty ,, 'secure the borders' is what he said he learnt, beyond that, me bad, oops. I don't use a sarc tag much.
He is who he has always been, a renegade, not just a maverick, hardly fit to lead, imo.
as to being serious and it's hard to tell, not my fault. I post here all the time. (ducks) ;-)
oh my God. I hope no one thinks I'm pro-mccain. (/sarc)
I won’t waste my time with my senators, in fact I am not voting for President in my state. I will vote for local elections but it is a lost cause in IL. Durbin & Obama, why waste the time to write or call?

From the Desk of:
Steve Elliott, President, Grassfire.org Alliance
++URGENT ACTION: Contact your two California
Senators, and forward this message to your friends. Urge
them to take immediate action with you!
M,
Our Capitol contacts have just informed us that Dianne Feinstein
(D-CA) is attempting to attach an amnesty amendment for
illegal farm workers to the Iraq supplemental appropriations
spending bill.
Details are still coming in, but we do know the bill would
provide legal status to 1.35 million illegal aliens working
in agriculture by granting them five-year visas.
Tentatively called the Emergency Agriculture Relief Act of 2008,
this is a slight-of-hand, scaled-down version of Feinstein’s
AgJobs amnesty bill that she had previously introduced.
M, we’ve been told that her amendment could be voted
on as soon as tomorrow (Friday, May 16)!
++Action Item—Call Your California Senators
We are asking ALL members of our team to take
immediate action by calling their Senators and
demanding they oppose the Feinstein amendment to the
Iraq Supplemental Appropriations Bill—or any other sly
move to increase the rolls of illegal aliens in the U.S.
Here’s your contact information for:
Sen. Feinstein 202-224-3841
Sen. Boxer 202-224-3553
Please call BOTH of your Senators. Without their support,
Feinstein’s amendment may pass—opening the door to millions
more illegals in our nation!
After calling, please forward this message to all of your friends
and family who share your deep concern for our nation. Urge them
to pick up the phone and call their Senators as well.
If they don’t know the contact information of their Senators, they
can call the Capitol Switchboard: 202/224-3121 to be quickly connected.
This is an all-hands-on-deck alarm, and I’m counting on every
member of the Grassfire team to deluge Senate offices with tens
of thousands of phone calls!
We will keep you posted as news breaks.
Steve
P.S: Again, this amendment is just another attempt by the amnesty
crowd to do away with our borders. We must be strong and active
to short-circuit this latest underhanded attempt. Call today!
That is just sick.

I’m sending this to everyone on that list...ILLEGAL Aliens just doing the jobs Americans won’t....
Feds: Drugs made at kosher meat plant
Published: 05/13/2008
Federal authorities charged that a methamphetamine laboratory was operating at the nation’s largest kosher slaughterhouse and that employees carried weapons to work.
The charges were among the most explosive details to emerge following the massive raid Monday at Agriprocessors in Postville, Iowa.
In a 60-page application for a search warrant, federal agents revealed details of their six-month probe of Agriprocessors. The investigation involved 12 federal agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the departments of labor and agriculture.
According to the application, a former plant supervisor told investigators that some 80 percent of the workforce was illegal. They included rabbis responsible for kosher supervision, who the source believed entered the United States from Canada without proper immigration documents. The source did not provide evidence for his suspicion about the rabbis.
The source also claimed to have confronted a human resources manager with Social Security cards from three employees that had the same number. The manager laughed when the matter was raised, the source said.
At least 300 people were arrested Monday during the raid, for which federal authorities had rented an expansive fairground nearby to serve as a processing center for detainees.
The search warrant application said that 697 plant employees were believed to have violated federal laws.
Agriprocessors officials did not return calls from JTA seeking comment.”
You’re welcome.
