Curious what Chris Matthews' brother thinks about the Hardball host entertaining a run for Senate? Ponder no more.
"I think it is great," Republican Jim Matthews, a Montgomery County Commissioner, said in an interview Thursday.
"We are all surrounded by dead people who just plod along and don't even investigate their dreams. It is kind of neat to see a guy at the top of his game contemplating a complete change in direction," brother Matthews said.
The prospect of a Chris Matthews run for Senate has come up before, and a 2010 challenge of Republican U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter has again tickled the attention-starved chattering class in Pennsylvania now that the presidential primary has left the state behind.

Yeah, I know what you are thinking. How could a person so blatantly biased that even ponders running for office for one party, pretend to be a biased talk show host during this campaign?
Where is Santorum?
Rick could make all of Chris Matthew’s digits “tingle”,
With Fear.
Great time for Pat Toomey to have a rematch, seeing him maul the Scottish Law candidate would make me tingle all over!
Considering his skill as a gasbag, he’ll fit right in.
Matthews/Sheehan 2013!
In any event, I do hope that a true conservative does seriously challenge Specter again.
What’s the difference between Specter and Matthews besides Matthews talks faster and slobbers?
Crap matthews is a delusional racist and bigot. But it is astounding that he thinks he has a snowballs chance at getting elected as a Pennsylvania Senator, after just spending six weeks, telling everyone who wasted any time listening to him, that everyone in PA, outside of the Philidelphia suburbs, is a inbred racist bigot rube, with no better than six grayde edumickashuns. Hell OJ Simpson would have a better shot at getting elected.
‘top of his game’???? Apparently, Chrissy’s brother doesn’t get MSNBC on his television and doesn’t have access to the ratings books which get posted on Drudge. Matthews is last place on the channel which is in last place and if this is the ‘top of his game’ then I’m suddenly optimistic about the GOPs chances.
