AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! I hear we’re going to be favored with The O’s presence over in Billings.
Yawn.
I guess it’s considered a racist attack if you repeat anything he said, so I’ll just ignore him altogether.

Mike Fleming had her on at 4 to talk about the MS CD 1 race. It’s probably about time for Tony Snow to call in again and let us know how he’s doing. Today is Friday, so it’s Paul Shanklin day.

Good morning to you!
Justice Scalia is by far the most intelligent Justice on the Court currently. President Bush’s two appointees seem to be on par with Scalia, but just listening to this interview, I’m reminded of this man’s unsurpassed intellect.

Early Jersey Pings!
Anyone see this story in the Washington Times today? Link is on Drudge's home page. Excerpt:
"Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign is trying to tap a new audience of potential voters by taking his campaign message straight to liberal and nonpolitical issues-based blogs, which reach millions of readers but don't often delve into conservative politics."
More evidence of my theory that McCain plans to win election without the support of Conservative voters. He plans to isolate and ignore Conservatives as much as Obamanation does.

I think your theory is spot on. If McCain wins, and he continuously alienates conservatives by spouting his liberal philosophies, I think he and the RNC will pronounce the conservative movement Dead.
So far, McCain has made one decent speech on judges, and that is the only overture he has even made toward conservatives. The rest of the time, he's to busy telling them to “calm down”, apologizing for them, denouncing their views, or having his little surrogates pronounce that it is time to “forget Ronald Reagan.” I'm so mad I could spit nails, as we say here in the country.

And I believe if there is a Hillary/Obama ticket and with the MSM against him McCain will not win in November. How I wish there was a way to dump McCain at convention!
To: IMissPresidentReagan
Yes, McCain doesn't want to owe Conservatives anything for his win. He wants a mandate for HIS agenda, not OURS.

No. If the Witch were the DemonRat nominee, I'd have a lot les trouble voting for Bob Barr. Now, purely due to the national security issue, I'm still likely to take a barf bag with me to the polls and put a mark beside McPain's name. I just can't stand the rejoicing that would come from the worst, most evil people in the world if we elected a Marxist/secret Muslim.

She was not far off at all. Her comments on Hillary were vintage Coulter. She was trying to demonstrate how non-conservative McCain was by comparing him to someone loathed by 50% of the country.

She mirrored what I had to say about MS, namely that the fight with the RINO left a lot of bad feelings on the Republican side and those unaware of the two got fooled by the ads about Davis. Basically, he and the RNCC campaigned as if they thought he was a guaranteed win and he was not.
This is a bit nicer than she put it.

Right.
Obama's politics are a genuine threat to the Republic, and he needs to be stopped.
Unfortunately, the only way to realistically do that is by not electing him and that means McCain .

I think he and the RNC will pronounce the conservative movement Dead.
In their minds, it already is. But, I think they underestimate how motivated some of the individuals that believe in conservatism really are. Once we are fully discarded, I believe that many will work hard to "brand" ourselves in a different way. I actually see this as a grand opportunity. I have never really cared for the Elitist Republicans anyway. They constantly put a sour taste in the mouth of many Americans.
The rebranding of the Republican Party is almost completely done and unfortunately, it has extremely bad connotations.
We should use this opportunity to make a clean break and to remove the burden of the Elitist branding off our backs. We have tried to steer this Republican ship in the right direction, but the Rockefeller types are set in their ways. Let us abandon ship and let the ship cruise straight on into the rocks.
The work must start now and gathering great minds like Ann Coulter to our cause would be tremendous.
