As promised 2006 election:

1) Beg Muslim countries to drill more of their own oil to INCREASE supply(yes)

2) Raise Tax on oil (yes)

3) Use more corn and farm resources for fuel instead of food (yes)

4) Increase illegals food stamps to pay for increasing food prices due to #3 (yes)

5) Cut gas tax prior to election, raise even higher after election as Clinton did 1993(yes)

6) Release strategic oil supply to INCREASE supply before election, draw back to DECREASE supply after election(yes)

7) Drill our own oil to INCREASE supply (no) 8) Build more domestic refineries (no) 9) Cut gasoline additive regulations(no) 10) Blame Bush for being owned by oil companies

Check out plan at above link for laughs. While this plan MAY seem idiotic it got democrats complete power in Maryland over electric prices 2006. The public really wants to be treated as stupid, look at McCain's latest energy election ploys, following Obama and Clinton.

Yes....the “Tar Sands”. “Unlimited” oil for 75-100 years and no reliance on OPEC!!! They are separating the sand/oil as we speak, but in small quantities. We really need to move on this to be Dependant from OPEC.

C-Span2 had a very interesting Senate panel (Republican only - I’m sure dems wouldn’t come) on Energy and included a frank discussion with Senator Stevens (AL) on ANWR. He brought up how Clinton VETOED the bill that was passed in 1995 that would have us pummping our own oil up there TODAY...He also mentioned using a map on TV showing the 1900 acres of land with an arrow surrounded by the 2,000,000 (that’s million) acres of land not being used and said the arrow wouldn’t even be SEEN by viewers because its so small in comparison to show how little area we are talking about. I thought it was a very good discussion, but naturally it’s not going to make the 6:00 news! We are beholdin to countries that are OUR ENEMIES and yet democrats in congress REFUSE to drill here at home, REFUSE to take steps to lower our dependency on SAID ENEMIES!

8) Encourage alternative clean energy sources by voting down ANWR drilling, making prices high so that those clean sources are developed, which makes them become low once they are developed (in 100 years from now).

And that may work 100 years out but voters that demand govmt borrowing for 1) Free prescription drugs, 2) home mortgage bailouts, 3) health care for middle class kids, 4) food stamps for illegals, 5) corn ethanol production, 6) bridges to no-place, ... could not care less about 10 years let alone 100 years. Remember compassionate conservatism, all about big fed govmt programs.

Perhaps?Do you remember that Malcolm”Steve”Forbes predicted(last year)tha he thought oil(by this time)would have declined to about $40 per barrel? Here’s another;when oil first”spiked”at $80 per barrel, the OPEC oil minister said not to worry, this won’t last long??That’s one of my”curses”;I have TOO good a MEMORY!!!!!!!!!

The public really wants to be treated as stupid

Sorry, you are as wrong as you can be.

The public must be treated as stupid because they are.

This as a result of 45 years of dumbing down courtesy of the Imperial Federal Government School System.

Yes, the people are stupid. This is why we have had a representative republic, not a democracy.

NOPE

However, to really reduce prices do not buy anything that says made in China.

Why support those who are driving up the price of oil.
