Obama Responds to Bush’s Comments
Primetime Politics ^ | May 16, 2008 | Editors

At 5:43 into this video, Barack Obama asserts that "has never said" he'd negotiate with terrorists. The problem with this is one of two things: Barack Obama is either lying through his teeth, or he doesn't consider the Iranian regime terrorists.

Either way, he's off.

I believe we have him on tape saying it.

Tape, hell; it's on his web site:

Obama is the only major candidate who supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions.

It doesn’t even matter what Obama says. He can trip all over himself about Wright with three different versions of what he knew and he can do the same on talking to terror sponsoring states the he said he would speak to even though it’s right there on tape in the debates.

The media will not even raise the fact that he is contradicting his own statements.

All they do is focus on how to frame it to attack the President.

This guy changes his story from week to week. After saying for weeks that he couldn’t dump Rev. Wright because the Rev. had been his “spiritual mentor”, he changes his story when he finally dumps Wright and says “He was never my spiritual mentor”. This current flip is quite similar.

I think it’s hilarious that people believe that this man can make all the changes he is promising all alone. He still has to work with a Senate and a Congress and deal with people trying to get elected, re-elected and the sort. I think a lot of obamaniacs think his election would mean he just walks through all of these promises, un-abated.

The 2006 elections much like the one we are facing this fall are a referendum on the republican party. That Obama offers “something different” is what matters to people. (No matter that it’s liberalism)

People are fatigued with Bush and the policies of the last 7 years. Conservatives are sitting it out and the moderates are going left.

When will we stop blaming our own for “not fighting back”?

When this is how it gets covered in the media, this is what the public sees, no matter what the Pres or our Reps say.

It is time to figure a way to defeat and destroy the MSM.

This is off-topic, but why don't we turn the MSM's deification of Obama into an opportunity to permanently de-claw the IRS?

This post (<-click), while addressing taxes, helps to explain why government "leaders" like Obama are actually in contempt of the Constitution that they have sworn to defend, foolishly following in the footsteps of FDR's dirty federal spending politics. In fact, the article referenced below shows that Obama is the #1 federal spending proposer in the Senate for '08; Clinton is #2.

Obama, a big-shot federal spender
The people need to reconnect with the Founder's division of federal and state government powers. The people then need to wise up to the major problem that the federal government is not operating within the restraints of the federal Constitution, particularly where constitutionally unauthorized federal spending is concerned.

The bottom line is that the people need to send big-shot, Constitution-ignoring federal spenders like Obama home as opposed to trying to send people like him to the Oval Office. The people need to get in the faces of the feds, demanding a stop to constitutionally unauthorized federal spending while appropriately lowering federal taxes - or get out of DC.

BZZZTT! Wrong answer!

If/when he's elected and the Repubs are reduced to a virtual 40 or fewer seats in the Senate, there will be NOTHING to keep the Libs from demolishing the United States.

I see no harm in holding talks with Iran, or the leaders of any other country. Labelling the leaders of a country as “terrorists” is not helpful. They are still the leaders and must be dealt with. I’m sure various people and groups in the world would say that the leaders of the U.S. are terrorists.

Very similar to it being “religiously intolerant” to read relevant sections of the Koran in defense of stating that Islam is a violent culture.

hussein takes the President's comments personally because he has a guilty conscience...
He's been up-front about his agenda for the American people from the very beginning.
And he twists the truth now to suit his purpose.

His followers seem to lap it up desperately...
with their eyes eyes glazed over...
they shout...
he'll bring change!
he'll bring change!

I see stupid people...

As an American I don't like him very much at all...

WILL come to the surface with the MSM.

The same MSM that when Jimmy Carter helped broker a deal with North Korea so that they received money and nuclear technology with so little oversite that NK was able to build a new nuclear power plant and create nuclear weapons but the MSM thought Jimmy Carter deserved a Nobel prize. That MSM?
Or are you talking about the MSM that when a woman came on national television and accused Bill Clinton of rape acted like she didn't exist?
Or perhaps the MSM that when Bill Clinton joked under oath that he couldn't remember whether Chinese agents had offered him a million dollar bribe reported (lied) that he had denied the event ever happened?
Yeah, let's rely on the MSM. They are bound to help out with the truth. /s

For eight years the president of the United States traveled the world admitting to and apologizing for America's evil doings* -- followed by eight more years of ex-presidents and members of their administrations traveling the world denouncing President Bush and the United States of America for invading sovereign countries, polluting the world, starting illegal wars, and worse** -- and now! those same pukes say that our differences should end at the water's edge?!!

The Rat Party (formerly the patriotic, traditional Democratic Party) stalwarts are certifiably insane.

...I’m not saying we “rely” on the MSM. The incidents that you rattled off that were ignored by the MSM were mostly from an era when the MSM was ALL we had. Talk radio, FOX News and the blogosphere didn’t exist during Carter’s reign of terror. Nor did it during most of the Clinton terror years.

Sorry. Didn't mean to rattle off so much to you in one post but I don't think you realize just how biased the MSM is. Right talk radio has been around and is taken into account and Fox was around during Clinton's era and did report the truth about his testimony under oath. But it was the only national news to do so. All the others lied on behalf of the democrat Bill Clinton.
Even today you could have McDermott, Kerry , Pelosi and Reid all give statements in Cuba, Iran, Venezuala and China all calling President Bush a mass murdering liar and if Bush said it's a bad idea to appease dictators then the MSM is going to denounce him and praise the Democrats. It's exactly what's happening today.
