Thursday May 15, 2008, American media hit a new low. To paraphrase Michelle Obama, I have never been less proud of my country.
On the occasion of Israel's 60th anniversary, President George W. Bush gave one of the greatest speeches of his career.
Yet, America's media could only see this event through the tiny prism of the upcoming presidential election, and thereby totally ignored virtually everything that was said by the most powerful man in the world to one of our nation's greatest allies.
From a speech that lasted over 20 minutes -- interrupted eight times by applause from Israeli Knesset members -- America's media exclusively reported 83 words they felt insulted the candidate for president they have been unashamedly supporting for over a year.
Everything else in the President's stirring and emotional address went completely ignored, so much so that the other 2,400 words were totally irrelevant, as was the signficance of the day and the moment.
The President spoke of the founding of Israel, and America being the first nation to recognize her independence.
American media didn't care.

American Media is trying to elect Obama. I really do not know why, for the media probably has no better place to go. I know of no better country than America, even with it’s faults.
WRONG! They cared about Bush offending B. Hussein Obama (Peace be upon him) on his was to being POTUS.
What was so funny was that W was refering to Carter.

If he said it was raining - the media would attack him for taking away weather man's jobs. I have disagreed with him more then agreed over the years as I am a conservative and he is not but the media is sending a sign to McCain - say one thing against our boy and you're toast.
McCain, beaten by life will not respond, hence Rush's problem with him and operation chaotics. BTW, the dem's run congress so when obama says he is for change, does that mean getting rid of the dem's for a change?
Hmmmmm, let’s see. Wasn’t it the DBM that was squealing like little school girls about the Revrum Wrong “snipets?” Yeah, I thought so, too.
The wastes in the media were more interested in protecting Berry’s glass jaw than reporting an important speech by the president. I don’t think the media or Berry’s handlers think he’s ready to take off his training wheels. He reminds me of the baby giraffe who stumbles and falls down while learning to stand up.
Like I tell people when they don’t believe me. It’s not always just what you hear that shows bias, but what you don’t hear, and then I show them an alternate source of information. Inevitably I get the, “Oh, I didn’t know that!”
