This reads just like Jonah Goldberg’s vision of American fascism from his book “Liberal Facism.” This is fascism with a smiley face. This article is saying in a very nice way that all you have to do is let the government officials just do what they want, and everything will be all right. The subtext - the government might not choose to be nice if you aren’t nice back - is stated in a pleasant, subtle manner. Remember, the regulators are there to make this country a nice place for children and endangered species. Have a great day!
