The government did not mandate ethanol production for vinegar manufacturers. It did not subsidize vinegar with taxpayer $ nor protect it with import tariffs.
I worked for Duane Andreas and his boys for many years. One thing you can count on from ADM is that they never pass up an opportunity (no matter how dirty) to make a buck. Both sides of the Congressional aisle have been plastered with ADM bucks for decades and their ethanol facilities have been the cutting edge (and sometimes over the edge) for over two decades that I know of. In wet, dry milling or any other grain processing/products, you can rest assured that ADM will be at the top.
When the anti-Christ rules, ADM will be in charge of grain processing and technology.
