What's Wrong With Mexico?
FOXNews.com ^ | May 16, 2008 | John Gibson

Posted on 05/17/2008 8:19:55 AM PDT by SwinneySwitch

Some countries seem to never have to leave home to fight a war.

Take Mexico.

President Felipe Calderon has just sent thousands more troops into the northern state of Sinaloa to fight the drug cartels, which evidently have taken over both the Mexican side of the border with the United States and large swaths of Mexico proper near the border.

In the past two weeks, six senior police officers across Mexico have been assassinated by the cartels. The latest was Edgar Millan, who had been acting director of the federal police for just 30 days before he was shot outside his home in Mexico City. Up north, closer to the border, the cartels have even taken to decapitating their police victims to add an extra measure of horror to their assassination campaign.

As recently as last week the president promised (again) to take back the streets from the cartels. He's a little late out of the starting gate. Since he came to office in 2006 more than 3,500 people have died in the cartel violence. Drug hit men have even been targeting popular recording artists, who they kidnap and murder as punishment for hit songs that don't paint the cartel hombres in a favorable light.

The whole sorry scene of the border war over control of drug routes has the air of an open insurrection that the government of Mexico seems powerless to put down. It's one thing to blame American drug consumers for the huge power of the cartels, it's quite another for the government to simply fail to stamp out the murderous insurrection with brutal force. It's a challenge to the very manhood of the Mexican government and there isn't a blue pill to cure this impotency.

Americans have had plenty of reason to mistrust the Mexican government...

What's Wrong With Mexico?

Is there enough memory on the web to list it all?

I suspect that the answer to this question is that El Presidente is conflicted.

On the one hand, he is faced with bald-faced, open insurrection and criminal gangs thumbing their noses at him. On the other hand, he can’t afford to lose his 5% rake-off from the cartels.

No president of Mexico in recent memory has retired from office with less than a billion dollars stashed away in foreign banks, and Felipe Calderon can’t afford to be the first to retire from office in relative poverty.

I have major sympathy for the few honest and dedicated police officials left in Mexico. If they too go over to the dark side, who can blame them?

It's fairly easy to determine the root cause of Mexico's problems: corruption at every level of Mexican government. The drug lords are increasingly in charge of distribution of major corruption money and the police, military, customs officials, ministers, governors and presidents are willing recipients of this huge illegal income. How to stop it? Nothing short of an invasion by major military forces and a complete change in Mexican government.

Will it happen? Never! It would take large cojones and we no longer have them available, due to PC RATs who removed them with the eager help of leftist lawyers, corrupt judges and environmental whackos who oversee and question the president's every move. We and Mexico are nearing chaos, but most Americans are terminally unaware of the danger. Mexicans and many other nations are shipping us mega-quantities of illegals to assure the ruination our Nation. It's beyond sad, now.

While there are plenty of reports of gang violence south of the border. You don't hear so much about it north of the border. And yet....

More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says

When you start digging into the numbers the only ones that can be sourced with the feds are the number of American murdered in 2005: 16692
I have seen federal numbers for illegals held in jail ranging from 19.3% to 27% of the federal prison population.

Here's a sampling of USA cities wanted for murder. What you'll see is that in big USA cities like LA or NYC most of the murderers are Hispanic. Unknown are the % of illegals. In smaller cities the FBI will post the nationalities of the murderers. About 25% of the most wanted are illegals wanted for murder. This number agrees with the percentage of illegals incarcerated in federal prisons. +-25%

Pictures of top 10 most wanted in LA. Up until recent stories about crime in LA posted by the LA Times--the pictures included the nationality of the murderers. They were all foreign nationals and mostly Mexican.

Wanted for Murder in New York City.

Chicago wanted for Murder

Philadelphia wanted for murder

San Francisco wanted for Murder

New Orleans wanted for Murder

Pictures of suspects wanted for murder in Washington DC

FBI USA 10 most wanted. (two of 10 are Mexican nationals) Around 40% of the FBI's wanted for murder are Mexican Nationals

There are currently no exact numbers on the number of Americans killed by illegals. Part of the reason is that the government deliberately obscures the number. I talked on the phone with the head of statistics for the US Bureau of Prisons. He said his office wasn't allowed to publish the number of illegal alien murderers. Rather they were forced to put legal and non legal residents in the same category. He said further that most of illegals in the federal prisons were in for drug related charges. Most of the illegals in jail for murder were in the state prisons. I talked to ICE. They put out detailed numbers on illegal child molestors. However, they put out nothing on illegal murderers.

Part of the reason for the silence on the matter is that there is evidence to suggest that most Americans being killed by illegals are black--as is the suggestion in this LA Times Article. Also this article from the LA Times. And here. This makes intuitive sense. We see stories regularly of drug gang killings in Mexico but we don't see those same stories in the USA. The reason we don't see those stories is not because its not happening. Rather we don't see the stories about illegals killing blacks because that kind of story is terribly politically incorrect. The populations being displaced in downtown sanctuary cities especially are American blacks. That means that their criminal elements would be pushed aside by Mexican gangs as well. That's also the story that the wanted for murder posters in all the major cities seems to suggest.

Nevertheless, the pattern of non reporting is starting to break. Discovery Channel has a series called Gangland that mentions ethnic cleasing of blacks by Mexican gangs

Reported Foreign Nationals on Death Row in the U.S.

To look at other USA cities go here http://stlouis.fbi.gov/ and replace stlouis with the city you want.

All that said the true number of criminal aliens is far higher than is revealed by criminal aliens in prisons. Most are simply waived through the courts.DHS Secretary Chertoff, has been quoted as warning that two million people in this country illegally have committed serious crimes. If you check the links you'll notice that its McCain who cites Chertoff. See also here and here Here is more info from Judicial Watch.

However the number of illegals on death row is far lower. Sadly, so many small towns and villages across America have sent their warriors off to war half way across the world only to see communities fill up with illegal aliens.

After the US occupied Mexico City during the Mexican War, the US actually contemplated making it part of the US. However the hangup with dealing with a large Catholic population and people of brown skin prevented it from happening. If the US was culturally ready to incorporate Mexico in the 1840’s, North American history would have been very interesting because we would become a former English nation to become a Anglo Latino nation assuming the two cultures could fuse together and form something totally new. The combined natural resources of Mexico and US would also add an additional dimension to US economic development.

Considering that we are not occupying Mexico, contrary to the thinking of La Raza, your comment is apropos and to the point.

What’s wrong with Mexico? Hmm, maybe the problem is that it is a corrupt stinking ####hole of a third world socialist nation that is only as marginally functional as it is because of it’s proximity to the United States? And that’s just for starters...

Having traveled around the world extensively I have observed that certain cultures are self defeating. Jews for example have a complex about being disliked and often keep to their own kind but when it come to being successful they are one of the best.

Mexicans and most South and Central American countries you will note that the Indian Mixed groups are kept down by their own choice. My observation is that the Catholic Church reinforces the poverty justification lifestyle and that group swallows it whole whereas the German/Italian/French/American (ie-anglos) primarily are Catholics but they do not buy into that idea. They are successful.

Go to Peru, Brazil (or just about any other country) and you will find that the successful are Germans, Italians, Americans(English), and French. In that order. Most of the large farms are German. Many of the shipping and trucking firms (and wineries) are Italian. French own most of the bistros and shops. Americans(British) operate the large corporate entities. The local natives drive the truck, are the workers on the farms etc. They are offered education but stick to their old ways.

As is always the case, this is a generalization because there are exceptions and those natives that become successful seperate themselves from their old lives and join the successful communities. They are also shuned by the natives so there is also that aspect they have to contend with.

Even without drugs, Mexico has a GDP of over $1 TRILLION. This is not a poor country. Their per capita GDP is also well above the global average.

(Add in drugs, and it's even more prosperous.)

Mexico is just so utterly corrupt that they cannot find a way to take that wealth and turn themselves into a viable nation.

And closer union with them is far more likely to bring us down than to bring them up. Always much easier to degrade and destroy than to improve and build.

Might be a little more negative motivation than that - he'll get his 5% if he plays, but if he makes any serious effort to shut down the cartels he would be dead in a week. Too many moles in the police and army.

Mexico needs a new revolution. This time the people need to win. The corrupt few need to be put down and a true democracy established —it will in time. It would have happened sooner of the USA had not opened her borders. Mark my words—when the border is really closed—Mexico will blow up in a bloodbath. In the end, Mexico will be a better place. Once they removed the shackles of the corrupt it could be a great nation.

The problem with many immigrant groups is that take risks and (initially) work hard to escape their native culture. However, once they start feeling sufficiently safe and prosperous, they get homesick and they to recreate that culture in their new home. In some cases, it works out okay. In others, as in the case of Islamics and Mexicans, it is a disaster waiting to happen. Our melting pot mentality used to shut this down in 1-2 generations. With multiculturalism, we will soon see the formation of cultural reservations and no-go zones for Anglos.

It makes me sick every time I read about an American being killed or raped by an illegal alien. I put the blame for these deaths directly on the politicians who refuse to do the jobs they were elected to do. They don’t care because it’s not them or their family members who are the victims of these criminals.
