Did you learn your insulting manner from your boy McCain? Do you also have a list of all the folks you’re winning over to McCain’s side with your sweet talk? LOL!

Few conservatives among us would claim the situation we find ourselves in is far, far from ideal.

This does not even remotely address the point raised in #52, re: McCain needing to meet the conservative voting base's needs if he genuinely wants their support.

It doesn't really say much of anything at all, actually.

It will be harder for republicans to fight a McCain agenda.

He will have to reach across the ailse to get anythiing done.

McCain will destroy the conservative movement.

In life there are degradations. I'll pick less evil over greater evil every time.

BTW, McCain is not evil. With him we get some good and some bad, so it's a draw. I'll take that over Obama.

I agree that your last statement was true of Giuliani, who would have changed the party platform. It’s not true of McCain.

How bout a list of people whi voted for Hillary thinking they could scare us into voting for McCain?

Then we can go back and see who accuses us of causing a democrat presidency when they’re the ones who actually voted for a democrat.

The McCain folks like to play a game. If you don’t vote for McCain, you have no place to whine.

I contend that if people do vote for him, knowing what they do about McCain, the very same McCasterati’s will excoriate you and mention that “ you can’t complain, after all, you voted for him”.

Its called having it both ways.

I am going to go get my tally sheet to total up how many people on this thread have hopped on board the “Crooked head Express” Give me 10 seconds.

“I agree that your last statement was true of Giuliani, who would have changed the party platform. It’s not true of McCain.”

McCain has never followed the GOP party platform. He helped write ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’....the platform has called for secure borders- forget that! Need more?

Really? You think those of us who want McCain over Obama don't anticipate some of the same problems with McCain that you anticipate?

We believe, all things considered, McCain is better for the country than Obama.

What problems do you see for the country with an Obama presidency? I have yet to see you articulate, let alone focus upon them. Apparently, you've given it no thought whatsoever.

Not following it is one thing. Changing it is another.

Actually voting for a McCain or a McCain like politician when the ideal conservative is not in the running, gives conservatives time to regroup and push rightward at the next available opportunity.

Wrong. A McCain victory will move the party even more leftward and send a message to other "Republican" candidates that crapping on conservatives is the way to go.

Let 'em hit bottom.

One should NEVER concede victory to a socialist.

Precisely. And that's why McCain will never get my vote. I refuse to put lipstick on a pig.

Could you possible put up a list covering Obama as POTUS, versus McCain - that way, I can tell you “you told me so.”

By the way, it will be a much longer list than McCain’s.

Just curious. How well do you think Obama will follow the Republican party platform?

You can alwasy smell a McCain basher...one not mature enought to vote for someone who is gets 85-95% conservative marks from all the groups that track such things.
McCain bashers are the ones that will “take their toys” and go home rather than suck up the fact that their canidate lost in the primaries. One that would vote against a guy who will keep this Country out of the hands af communists. One that would shoot themselves in the foot rather than sit down, shut up and grow up.

Stop thinking of yourself and think about what 4 years of Obama would do to this wonderful country.

Its not about that.

Its about McCain damaging the party by furthering the leftward push. You make it okay to be a leftist Republican by encouraging voting for leftist Republicans.

How you don’t get that is beyond me.

My mind is not closed on the matter of voting for McCain. I am listening and he could theoretically convince me to vote for him. So far everytime he opens his mouth he drives me farther away but, there’s still a long time to go.
