Yeah, sure! So here's another Amerikkka-hating, fund-raising "friend of Obama."
Shepard Fairey is the artist who designed the official fund-raising set of Obama : Hope / Change / Progress posters, like this one:
Fairey has a company ("Obey") that produces his own artwork, such as these.
See Fairey's website: http://www.thegiant.org/wiki/index.php?title=Category:Prints
Obama has written Fairey that he admires "the political messages involved in your work."
If Obama does win in November, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy becomes his administration's "Artist Laureate." Can you imagine him as the Artistic Director for the Inauguration ceremonies?

Obamaganda: Change and Obey. Your Choice?
In the weeks before Super Tuesday 2008, "I put out the word I wanted to do something for Obama," explains Fairey, through Yosi Sergant, a plugged-in "early adopter" publicist in Los Angeles who knew prominent Democrats in the Obama circle. "I didn't want to be an unwelcome distraction," Fairey explains. "I've been arrested," he says, referring to his graffiti work in public places. "I really want him to win, so I didn't want to do anything that would cause him problems." The Obama people, somewhat to his surprise, said go ahead. Who said, exactly? "You can assume this came from the highest levels," Fairey says.
So both Fairey and the Obama camp are fully aware that he could become "an unwelcome distraction" -- that is, a scandal. Probably not at the Wright or Rezco level, but more on a par with Pfleger, IMHO.
