Washington D.C.
Dept of Transportation Federal Transit Administration sends:
Recently, there have been local incidents in which military personnel have been verbally assaulted while commuting on the Metro. Uniformed members have been approached by individuals expressing themselves as anti-government, shouting anti-war sentiments, and using racial slurs against minorities.
In one instance, a member was followed onto the platform by an individual who continued to berate her as she exited the metro station. Thus far, these incidents have occurred in the vicinity of the Reagan National Airport and Eisenhower Ave metro stations on the yellow line, however, military members should be vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times while in mass transit.

Hopefully they ended up spitting out most of their teeth.
A couple of good old fashioned ass whippings of these worthless underemployed twits is long overdue.
Sounds like a good opportunity to brush-up on hand-to-hand combat skills.
Nothing new, here. I’ve been spit on while in uniform. Take the high ground and realize the moron you’re dealing with.
Of course, be polite, be professional, but always have a plan to kill everyone in the room. ;)
Congress is in session?
A preview of coming attractions in August.

If I’m not mistaken, soldiers in uniform may not retaliate. But we can.
“...be polite, be professional, but always have a plan to kill everyone in the room.”
That’s good advice for EVERONE, even for those who are not in the military.
;^)
No reference on FTA website. Hoax?
I always carry a camera while in uniform for just that reason. No one is going to intimidate me into being ashamed of my country or my service.
I and others have usually taken that opportunity to thank them.
I have never seen any of them badmouthed or insulted - maybe looked at funnily by poseurs, but never confronted.
Take pictures. Cheap compact digital cameras and or cell phone cameras make this possible all of the time.
Then post their photos on the web, and we can turn the tables on these creeps.
“on the yellow line”
How appropriate.
